Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa

I wanted to surprise my wife at the hard rock hotel. We were suppose to stay at the days inn but i changed that last second. My number one complaint would be the smoking in the casino and the dreadful staff. The smoking is out of control. Everywhere you look people are puffing away. Its horrible. My eyes were watery and the next day i had a sore throat. I only gambled there the first night and then wouldn’t go back down there. Everytime we came and went from the hotel i dreaded walking in that casino. The poker room was depressing. No one looked like they were having fun and the only time anyone talked was to talk crap about the last play. The hotel staff (especially) the front desk was super snobby and rude. They could care less about any of our concerns. We just didnt feel very welcomed in there. The worst was the manager at the constant grind coffee shop (morning, big blonde haired lady). My wife was trying to decide what coffee to get and this lady looked like she was trying to hold back a mental breakdown. Was so short and frustrated with us. The tension made things unbearable. We felt like she just wanted us to order asap and get out. I wouldnt stay there again, no way. And they even soured me on gambling.

We just received a mailer yesterday 12/21 which offered a three night complimentary stay. We just called attempting to reserve two nights being 2/17 and 2/18 and were told "the free mailer rooms were already given out, and they have no more free rooms". I explained that it was our 25 year anniversary and that I am also a US Army veteran, but that didn't seem to matter. I would understand if the hotel was sold out. However, when you look online there are plenty of rooms available at a very high cost. I asked to speak to a manager and was told "the managers are very busy and they would call be back within 3 days. These deceptive offers are common based upon some other comments that I have seen here.

Well I have learned something different about hard rock we travel 12 months a year and have tried to stay loyal to hard rock as our gambling spot we were in Atlantic City last back in Tampa called to see what credits offers anything nothing called ask for a slot host being an icon member I have had that at other facilities I was informed that that is not the case and that they don’t do that It’s very sad but we will be going to other casinos because clearly there is no loyalty from property to property. I have a gift card to pick up next Saturday but will not be gambling while we’re there just pick it up leave and go have dinner somewhere else I wish we would’ve known this a little sooner only Only casino we ran into where this was the case lesson learned

I play the slots and love it. I never start out thinking I going to win A million dollars. I go to relax, meet people that enjoy playing. Never spend more than you can afford. I have read some reviews my responds is dogs are great pet people keep their dog clean !! hard Hard is a clean casino, I have noticed that the people that come to the casino are not so clean they leave a mess and trash where they sit. ????

agree with another's review in that it is dirty, slots are EXTREMELY TIGHT *if you don't win with 20 bucks STOP playing* and food & drinks are very pricey. The gift shops and spa are extremely pricey too. They don't treat "small players" (which are those who don't bring at LEAST $10k to spend) they don't treat you with any RESPECT no matter how polite and respectful you may be. If you have enough to stay there a few nights take that and go to Vegas or Biloxi. You will have much more entertainment and a larger variety of games to play. And if you join the variety of players member clubs, the benefits are MUCH MUCH BETTER! You CAN get LUCKY here though if you do LEAVE cuz its far and few between! Beware if your at a slot to not set your drink, purse or bag down, they have German cockroaches that lurk around the games and they have fleas! I'VE had them jump on me there! because they are also sadly dog friendly. Sad for the dogs. I don't think they should be allowed to be in all the smoke, lights and sound. The slot machines are more often dirty than not. I've even seen people spit right on the floor which is carpet!! I often smell weed too. Ive been going there for over 20 yrs. I live close.
