This hotel scores in every category. Beautiful guest room and baths (spacious and very refined decor), comfortable beds and a great housekeeping team, great location and not overpriced. But it is the public spaces that take it from a 5 star to a 10. The Lilac restaurant and its prix fixe menu is worth every Michelin star. Delicious menu and preparation and flawless service. The Azure rooftop restaurant is beyond delicious and the rooftop pool area is a Mediterranean dream. Cam made our stay with her brand of attentive and friendly service. Kyle made our drinks (as did the fun Punch Room) we came back every one of the three days we were in Tampa for business. Great gym (great). Great everything. The Edition made it a pleasure to be here.

We loved this place! Akira did our check in and she was wonderful! She was very sweet and attentive. She gave us an amazing suite, beautiful room, the decor in this place is unbelivable. Everything is so cozy and warm, just perfect. Gabriel brought our luggage and did a room tour, always smiling and very helpful. Service was great in every area, we had dinner at azure and breakfast at the market. Breakfast was great just a few notes to do, the butter croissant was extremely oily and the bagel was not fresh, it was hard to eat and you could see the white texture when eating. However overall was a great experience and we would recommend it! The pool area Is also beautiful.

Aesthetically, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff are uniformly fantastic. BUT- there are only several floors total of guest rooms and are literally sandwiched in between a lobby and second floor nightclub and a 9th floor club/pool, and from virtually all floors, you can hear the thump thump music throughout the day and night. It is horrific, especially for someone that is noise sensitive. If you have any noise sensitivity at all or appreciate your night’s sleep, do not stay here. The hotel is smaller than it appears; -most of the building is night clubs or residences- with just a few hotel guest-room floors literally sandwiched in between the 1st/2nd and 9th floor clubs. At least the two Editions in NYC have many floors, so you can get away from their party areas- but not this Tampa one. I don’t know what they were/are thinking!

We had a horrible experience here. We showed up at 3:30 and were told the two rooms we booked were not ready and the staff had no idea when they would be ready (check in is 4pm). We were told that they were not understaffed and that the rooms just needed to be “inspected” prior to being available. However, at 4:30pm a manager still could not tell us when a room would be available. There were at least ten other groups, probably more, having this same issue and being told that there was no expected time frame to have rooms available. Finally, at 5:15, after multiple conversations with the manager explaining that we had to leave the property at 5:30 for a concert and wouldn’t return until after midnight, we were given 1 room for the four of us to share to quickly change and leave. When we left there were still many people in the lobby being told that their room wasn’t available. No explanation, no estimated time for the other room, and no compensation for the inconvenience. Highly disappointing that a Marriott property would be so unprepared. The Edition had been highly recommended and was not cheap. We will never return.

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary with a short getaway. We were warmly greeted by the valet staff and proceeded into the lush lobby. The front desk staff was very friendly and got us checked in right away. They explained all the hotel benefits and we headed to our amazing room. We were upgraded to a two room suite. From the living room, to the bedroom to the bathroom - it was all luxurious without being stuffy. We wanted to hit the rooftop pool before our dinner reservation. The pool attendant seated us at a nice shady area and then a server - Bethany - from the bar came to ask if we wanted to order drinks or food. She asked us where we were from and what brought us to the hotel. After we finished our small appetizer and drinks she brought us complimentary homemade donuts as an anniversary treat. We had a great nights sleep and then had a delicious breakfast in the lobby restaurant. Before we left we decided to take another swim. Bethany was working again and she brought us glasses of complimentary champagne. We found out she has been with The Edition since its opening and loves working the rooftop area. She has a passion for pleasing guests. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed by her customer service skills. I can't wait to come back to The Edition. Gorgeous hotel with a professional and friendly staff.
