Sabah’s House, a luxurious and stylish Riad Boutique is the only 5* hotel set in the heart of Tangier’s exotic Kasbah. The house has been built along Art Deco lines and the detail of the interior design focuses on a private collection of paintings, artwork and the tools and products of Moroccan craftsmanship. The owners successfully achieve an authentic, sensuous Moroccan “feel”, embracing old and new. There are 6 suites, all named after, and designed around, world-famous individuals who have at one time or another been closely associated with Tangier and their lives and their connections with Tangier are well documented – Malcolm Forbes, Barbara Hutton, Ibn Battouta, Liz Taylor, Mick Jagger and Antoni Gaudi.

Tangier has immense beauty and a storied history of artists and writers and explorers. Saba's House seems to touch on all of it. The riad was built in a small neighborhood bordering the Kasbah next door to some of the most expensive homes in Tangier as well as some of the most modest. Footsteps from very Cafe Baba and the Grand Soco, you are instantly swept up by the salty air and carried through winding alleys of shops, fruit stands, and restaurants specializing in local sea food. After a day spent walking the western coast of Cap Spartel you can saunter back to Saba's House and maybe catch a glimpse of the sunset from the impressive roof deck with panoramic views of the port and the largest beach in Tangier. Or perhaps you will be lucky enough to meet the elegant owner of the property and chat over a game of cribbage and glass of wine about how Saba's House came to be. Each room is named according to a Tangier legend which makes the entire property feel like a history lesson. I can't imagine staying anywhere else, unless it was my own home.

A delightful stylish small hotel next to Kasbah. Lovely staff who are incredibly helpful. They booked a restaurant for us on first night, walked us to it and back after. Superb open terrace on top of hotel with 180 degree view over bay and harbour. A great place to stay.

Mehdi, Roya, Zaki, Ibrahaim, and the housekeeping and Hamman team all made us feel incredibly welcome. I’ll always cherish the first Moroccan mint tea and such a lovely view on the rooftop. Thank you to a truly special team. Would visit again!

We travel quite a bit and the best hotel service we have ever received was during our recent stay at Riad Dar Saba - Saba’s house in Tangier Morocco. The staff were incredible…the answer is yes now what’s the question? This is a small boutique hotel with only six rooms. We stayed in the “Elizabeth Taylor room” which had a very comfortable bed, in-room safe, small fridge and a great shower. The free breakfast is served each morning on the rooftop patio and is absolutely incredible! The hotel also has a small bar and comfortable sitting area. Saba’s house is about a one minute walk to the Kasbah area overlooking the ocean near Bab Al Bahr, several museums and several great restaurants. The hotel is about a five minute walk to the Petit Socco shopping area. If you are unsure about navigating the confusing matrix of small roads, alleyways and passageways, one of the helpful hotel staff members will be happy to show you the way! I can’t adequately describe how incredible the service was! We would seriously consider returning to Tangier just so we can stay at this amazing hotel. Thank you so much to Abdellah, Mehdi and all the other staff members who made us feel so at home. If you are going to be in Tangier - stay here!

Five star service and accommodation. The service was so superior it reminds me of the book by Will Guidara “ Unreasonable Hospitality”. The staff went out of their way to be attentive, kind and helpful. They walked us to the atm so that we wouldn't get lost the first day and when our suitcase began to fall apart they took it upon themselves to sew it together for us. The hotel is decorated beautifully, the view from the roof is incredible and the fireplace is very cozy. The breakfast was decadent! Thank you so much, particularly to Zaki and Mehdi- and the other staff- you made our weekend really special.
