Sabah’s House, a luxurious and stylish Riad Boutique is the only 5* hotel set in the heart of Tangier’s exotic Kasbah. The house has been built along Art Deco lines and the detail of the interior design focuses on a private collection of paintings, artwork and the tools and products of Moroccan craftsmanship. The owners successfully achieve an authentic, sensuous Moroccan “feel”, embracing old and new. There are 6 suites, all named after, and designed around, world-famous individuals who have at one time or another been closely associated with Tangier and their lives and their connections with Tangier are well documented – Malcolm Forbes, Barbara Hutton, Ibn Battouta, Liz Taylor, Mick Jagger and Antoni Gaudi.

My husband, daughter, and I spent 3 wonderful nights at Saba's House. Service was impeccable, starting with the driver they arranged to meet us at the train station and continuing with every member of the staff and Roya (the owner) herself. Its location inside the medina was convenient to places we wanted to explore. The rooms and beds were comfortable - we all slept very well. Our 2 rooms were a little smaller than expected, but there was sufficient space for our suitcases and daypacks, good closet and shelf spaces, and plenty of room to move around. The rooms had good ambient and task lighting, which made it easy to read. The bath was modern, had good water pressure, and space for 2 to get ready for the day. There's a cozy lounge area on the main floor, complete with a fireplace, little library, piano and full bar. It was a pleasant little space to enjoy a glass of wine or mint tea and cookies. Every detail at Saba's House seemed thoughtfully designed or selected (including the art). We looked forward to watching the sunrise from the rooftop every morning while we enjoyed a huge and healthy breakfast before heading out for the day. Roya's recommendations for restaurants and places to visit were spot on. It was a pleasure to return to Saba's House after long days of exploring Tangier and Chefchaouen. We were warmly greeted each time we returned, as if we were family. I would definitely stay here again.

Six room masterpiece of a hotel/airBnb. Rooms and baths just the right size, well appointed with fresh fruit baskets, large bathroom/shower, and comfy beds/pillows. Fantastic staff that was meticulous and incredibly helpful and kind. Delicious breakfast with the best fruit bowl and rooftop views...absolutely an experience that ranks in the top ten of our lifetime global stays. Well done Saba team!!

Tangier has immense beauty and a storied history of artists and writers and explorers. Saba's House seems to touch on all of it. The riad was built in a small neighborhood bordering the Kasbah next door to some of the most expensive homes in Tangier as well as some of the most modest. Footsteps from very Cafe Baba and the Grand Soco, you are instantly swept up by the salty air and carried through winding alleys of shops, fruit stands, and restaurants specializing in local sea food. After a day spent walking the western coast of Cap Spartel you can saunter back to Saba's House and maybe catch a glimpse of the sunset from the impressive roof deck with panoramic views of the port and the largest beach in Tangier. Or perhaps you will be lucky enough to meet the elegant owner of the property and chat over a game of cribbage and glass of wine about how Saba's House came to be. Each room is named according to a Tangier legend which makes the entire property feel like a history lesson. I can't imagine staying anywhere else, unless it was my own home.

A delightful stylish small hotel next to Kasbah. Lovely staff who are incredibly helpful. They booked a restaurant for us on first night, walked us to it and back after. Superb open terrace on top of hotel with 180 degree view over bay and harbour. A great place to stay.

Mehdi, Roya, Zaki, Ibrahaim, and the housekeeping and Hamman team all made us feel incredibly welcome. I’ll always cherish the first Moroccan mint tea and such a lovely view on the rooftop. Thank you to a truly special team. Would visit again!
