Metropole Taormina Maison d'Hotes

The hotel has a fantastic terrace bar overlooking the coast. We didn’t stay at the hotel but visited once for lunch and drinks and again just for drinks and really enjoyed both occasions. The staff were very kind and helpful and the food and drinks were delicious. This is an oasis of calm away from the crowds on the Corso Umberto and in a perfect central location for exploring the local attractions.

We have stayed here many times but the hotel was sold last year. We were concerned that it would retain it's soul and fantastic customer service. We need not have worried. The team at the Metropole are just superb and go out of thier way to ensure that you are happy, comfortable and content around the clock. It provides a beautiful haven in the middle of the busy town. The food and drinks are also excellent. We will be returning to this gem as soon as we can. A wonderful place with a wonderful team. This place definitely has a soul dedicated to ensuring you will long to return

The most stunning hotel with views that take your breath away.. helpful staff and very comfy bed/pillows.. it is in a great location so easy to get around in Taormina.. breakfast was ok didn’t seem to get replenished as quick if you came down after 9am.. few wasps/flies but staff did have a zapper. Pool was lovely and nice to have a chill after lots of walking. For location and comfort and views this hotel is excellent !

Arrived on the 2nd of September and enjoyed every minute of the time we spent in the hotel. We arrived in the hotel reception and was greeted by the lovely Angelina, who made us so welcome and gave lots of information effortlessly. She had arranged some nice drinks for us that evening as we were there for a birthday celebration. She walked us to our lovely room and which was stunning, luckily we were also given a sea view room. Only disappointed was the fact we didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to her when left on the morning of 6th to thank her properly. Apologies for missing you, the Taxi picked us up pretty sharp. All of the reception staff were nice, helpful, friendly but professional. All the staff in the hotel were excellent, friendly, easy to talk to and helpful. The bar staff were great and made excellent cocktails with lovely Cicchetti sides which were very tasty. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff, were great and organised. The bed in the suite was comfortable and room was spotless and cleaned each day. The shower was spacious, with various shower heads and the Ortiga soaps smelt lovely, which can be bought at the shop on the Corso Umberto. The hotel is designed well with lovely art work and beautifully furnished. Location is the best, right on the Corso Umberto. The infinity pool views are spectacular. Will definitely return one day and wish all the staff all the best.

Do not bother! Me and my mum visited just so we could get a couple of drinks, was waiting for a good 15 minutes to then have to waiters totally walk past us and not acknowledge us in the slightest! Very very poor and wouldn’t waste your time coming here!
