Paradise Found: Top-Notch Hospitality with Scenic Surroundings!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

If a place ever whispered "luxury" in the gentle hum of New Zealand's pristine coastline, it would be Rosewood Cape Kidnappers. We embarked on this exquisite escape with our friends, and from start to finish, it felt like both a homecoming and an adventure. If the immaculate surroundings don't take your breath away, the welcoming, industrious staff certainly will. LGBT Friendliness Picture being celebrated so much that even the sheep on the neighboring hills are cheering you on. That's how welcome we felt. LGBT friendliness here isn't just a checkbox—it's a full-hearted embrace, complete with confetti and (probably imaginary) parade floats. Room Although our initial room emitted a high-pitched opera solo, the staff rapidly relocated us, handling our baggage with the grace of ballet dancers. Every room, every view—it's like living inside a postcard. Scenic, serene, and utterly surreal! Swimming Pool Though winter nipped at the heels of our swim whims, the hot tub beckoned us into a toasty embrace with views more stunning than a kiwi bird in a top hat. Who needs a pool when you've got panoramas like these? Room Service Room service here is like having your fairy godperson deliver midnight snacks. Quick, kind, and every edible thing arrives looking—and tasting—like it belongs on the cover of a culinary magazine. Wi-Fi Quality Streaming speeds so fast, it's like the Wi-Fi's got a caffeine addiction. No buffering, no fuss—just pure, unadulterated digital luxury. Breakfast/Food Cue heavenly choir: the food. My taste buds are still processing the sheer ecstasy of each meal, and I'm pretty sure breakfast secretly moonlights as one of New Zealand’s national treasures. Remember to pace yourself unless you aspire to roll home! Transportation Everything from golf carts to personal vehicles—our travel was swift, simple, and always scenic. Like a kiwi bird with a penchant for punctuality, getting around here is effortless. Staff Can we talk about the staff being the real MVPs? From their kindness to their efficiency, these fine folks redefine hospitality. If the Oscars don't start awarding for "Best Staff Performance," they're missing out. In summary, our retreat to Rosewood Cape Kidnappers was an idyllic break from the ordinary, peppered with fantastic food, unmatched service, and a view so breathtaking it almost made us emotional (almost). Just remember to inquire about those birdy adventures before you, and your credit card, take flight!

Spectacular (except the guest rooms)!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 months ago

We had high expectations coming into our 3-night stay at the resort and for the most part all was great. The property is stunning, the restaurant is great, the golf course is world-class, and the staff is attentive, professional, and caring. And while all the common areas were spectacular, the guest rooms themselves were disappointing and definitely in need of a facelift as I doubt they have changed from when the resort opened more than 20 years ago. If the rooms were up to the standard of the rest of the property I would definitely have given the resort the top rating.

Lovely hotel

Fantastic hotel on a beautiful piece of property. The staff was excellent and the food was one of the best we have ever had at a hotel. We did the property tour on the Canam which was great. We also did the sheep sheering and herding which was so interesting. Gary was so much fun

A Stunning Retreat

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed June 12, 2023

If you ever get a chance to visit The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, do not hesitate. The property is absolutely stunning. Perched atop the cliffs, you feel immediately relaxed, immersed in nature, and in constant awe of the views surrounding you. The lodge itself is luxurious, and every single detail has been thought out. The staff are impeccable and make you feel like family. The all inclusive meals were delicious and rival anything I've had at the best restaurants in New Zealand. If you enjoy wine tasting, and golf - this is the perfect getaway for you. The golf course is one of the best in the world and meticulously maintained. And right on the property. Non-golfers have plenty to keep them busy with other activities and tours. There are tons of wineries in the area that are easy to get to and the wines are world class. My husband and I cannot wait to come back.
