An Incredible Experience!

Can’t say enough amazing things about this property. From arrival to the restaurants and housekeeping, to the amenities and most importantly the friendly and knowledgeable staff! They made my partner and I’s stay an unforgettable one. We will be coming back!

If only the accommodations complemented the hotel and staff.

Let me start by saying the hotel and staff are amazing. It is beautiful and scenic and in the perfect location. The hotel staff are very sweet. The only thing I’d say was lacking in terms of hospitality is my inability to connect with concierge to book anything. I had never been to Telluride and really could have used the helped but I followed up for almost 4 days with no response. As a result I wound up in a situation where I was booking things say of the flight in between layovers and while there. Luckily I was able to get an in town ski instructor through a mutual friend. I was told a manager would meet with me when I came to the hotel. Guess they were too busy bc no one came to talk to us. The accommodations— not so great. We booked a 1 bedroom residence suite and it was soooo important to us to have all of the amenities of the suite. However, the bedroom remained cold as it was controlled by the living room so unless we made the living room super hot the bedroom had to remain cold. We called an engineer and he couldn’t figure it out. I was miserable the whole trip. The pull out bed in the living didn’t lie flat. 2 engineers came by and eventually I was told that all the pullout beds in the hotel were like that and so it was what it was. I was offered a rollaway but my son didn’t want a smaller bed so as a trade off he slept at the bottom of the pullout. Then the icing on the cake— we literally packed light to depend on using the washer and dryer. The dryer never dried our clothes. It didnt work. It ran but didn’t dry. We ran it many times and even tried to dry one piece at a time. Eventually we gave up and housekeeping took the clothes. But get this- they brought the clothes back to us folded ….and wet. Yes. Wet. I was like - this is insane. So we had to run and buy clothes for my son to wear that evening from a local store. Then there was a silly incident where we asked for smores by the fire and they never came. I followed up twice and was eventually told they were taken to the pool. But we were at the big fire pit on the main level . I thought to myself, it’s all par for the course. And at this point- who cares. Just get me home. lol. They brought a chocolate fondue to the room and offered us a discount but they really should have comped a night. All that money and no appropriate sleeping arrangements in the living room for my son, no hot air in the bedroom, and no washer and dryer to use. Give me a break. Nice staff - but will not be returning to the Madeline.

La Madeline Ski vacation.

The Madeline hotel offers an amazing experience. The service is impeccable. The hotel is ski in and out. It offers a wonderful ski valet service. The staff at all levels is top notch. One of the finest, if not the finest, hotels that I have ever stayed at.

So many good things.

This place is outstanding really. The hotel is gorgeously beautiful The fireplace in the first sitting area of the bar is Lovely in the back is one of the most beautiful bars I’ve ever seen The bartender and manager of the bar is so lovely The front desk were pretty sweet and very helpful via text The room is beautiful with a lovely pillows and lovely sheets. Lovely turndown service. The pool and hot tub, perfect and s’mores delightful. I had a local massage and it was lovely. They came to my room and you can Google them the name of the woman is Tracy. I loved staying in mountain village and spring skiing. Ski valet incredibly easy. And managed by a very kind man. The gym was very convenient good size perfect equipment with the best treadmills Yoga on Tuesday and Wednesday just lovely The restaurant next-door for breakfast was fine. Breakfast was good And oh my God, the gondola is so incredibly easy to use and so lovely and gorgeous too take to telluride town for dinner every day I had a small hiccup and this was quickly rectified I would say the only small negative thing I have to say are the shampoo and conditioner could be a little better lol I was able to get a better price than what’s posted this honestly did make my stay more enjoyable and I felt more generous with my tipping for staff, - their initial prices are double black diamond steep.

Terribly understaffed and service was abysmal

Terribly understaffed and abysmal service. You’re only paying for prime location and somewhat nice rooms. The service has never been very good at this Auberge but this was an all time low. 20 minutes waiting on Valet/bellman upon check in. Took over an hour to receive food in the restaurant. We probably called the front desk or guest services 25 times during our stay and nobody ever answers the phone. Fortunately a friend who was also staying at the hotel informed us of the text messaging service otherwise we would’ve had to go in person to the front desk every time we needed something. To top it off room service for breakfast in the mornings had up to a 1 hour and 45 minute wait!!!
