I had my Wedding reception at the Madeline a few weeks ago – and it was the worst decision I could have made. For the last 6 months, every touchpoint with this hotel was absolutely shocking in their incompetence and lack of accountability. The link for the Wedding guests to make their reservation for our block of rooms never worked – my guests had to call the hotel and the reservations dept LOST their credit card information after taking it verbally on the phone. The deposits for the Reception were charged and debited with no alignment to the invoicing schedule – the hotel would debit thousands of dollars without my consent or knowledge. But the most horrific thing was the lack of communication from the management when a few days prior to the wedding, my guests walked into the restaurant while raw sewage was being swept from the floor. The entire hotel reeked of sewage – the rooms, the elevators and the dining rooms where my Reception was being held. NO ONE from the management reached out to my wedding planner nor me. We had to chase down the operations team but no one would actually tell us what was going on. Then, they would tell us "there is no smell" when clearly, it was evident to all of my guests and to us there clearly was an issue. To this day, I have had no resolution about this horrible situation – it ruined my Wedding week and was an embarrassment that my friends and family had to endure this revolting stench. The lack of “duty of care” that the Colorado Dept Public Health and Environment maintains that a hotel must take for “Sanitary Standards and Regulations” was stunning, The Madeline failed to meet the minimum level of adherence. To summarize – I would never recommend anyone stay at The Madeline and please do not ever hold a conference or wedding at this property. The junior staff and neglectful management are unable to provide any semblance of Auberge customer service.

Gorgeous, excellent resort with unique areas sprinkled all throughout the hotel to enjoy a quiet moment around the fire, a glass of wine, a coffee, a chat with a loved one or a moment of peace and calm. Finest of luxury places to stay in Telluride with the most beautiful views, great food and service. Treat yourself.

We had an exceptional stay at the Madeline hotel. Paola made our stay very special and communicated with us daily to make sure everything was perfect. Abi was also very helpful providing us with dining suggestions and activities. We can't wait to return.

Madeline Hotel & Residences is the best property I've stayed in the USA over the past 5 years. Service is warm and excellent. They make you feel unique. In door and outdoor experiences are the best in the mountains. Food is unforgettable. Thank you!

So stunning! The hotel staff here are amazing and make you feel so welcomed. We came the first weekend of October, so the fall foliage was in full swing. Pool/deck area has gorgeous views. Only con was the jets not working in the hot tub. The rooms are clean, crisp, and spacious. The shower was the best shower I have ever used in a hotel. Housekeeping does an outstanding job and freshens up your room in the evening as well. Comfy beds and pillows. It was our anniversary weekend and we came home from dinner one night to a charcuterie spread and champagne. The gym is very clean and has brand new equipment. The lobby and overall aesthetic is Western, crisp, and chic. If you're on the fence, BOOK IT!!! You will not regret it.
