No rest

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The Tempe Mission Palms Hotel by Hyatt was, unfortunately, one of the most disruptive stays I’ve experienced in over 50 years of travel. Having traveled extensively for both work and leisure—staying in a variety of accommodations ranging from budget motels across the Western U.S. to hotels in 35 countries—I feel compelled to share my honest experience. During my recent four-night stay, the noise levels were exceptionally high. Guests ran through the halls, yelling at all hours of the night, making it nearly impossible to get a restful sleep. Despite bringing this to management's attention, there was no noticeable effort to address or resolve the issue. Adding to the disturbance, the hotel is situated directly under an airport flight path, with aircraft noise starting as early as 5 a.m. and continuing until midnight. On top of the noise concerns, the hotel’s pricing practices felt unnecessarily deceptive. The mandatory “resort fee” seemed unjustified, as it provided no discernible value beyond what many other hotels include as standard amenities. Furthermore, the removal of soda machines forces guests to purchase drinks, including bottled water—a particularly frustrating policy in a desert climate where tap water is highly chlorinated. Given these issues, I cannot recommend this hotel, particularly for anyone seeking a peaceful and comfortable stay. I am unlikely to return to the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and may reconsider staying at Hyatt properties in the future. If a good night’s sleep is a priority, I strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

Its a very decent, clean & nice property no doubt - but it doesnt justify the tariff (cost versus benefit) - we would have probably got complimentary hot breakfast at a Motel chain and some, for what we paid here. Also bottled water was $ 5 each - they could have easily provided a couple of bottles daily pro bono (we bought 32 bottles for $4 at Walmart)

Nice location, able to watch fireworks from our room. Walking distance to post office, local transportation, and unique shopping experiences. Court yard and a fireplace for those who can appreciate small wins. Breakfast buffet is nice, you may want to ask if they’ll turn down the heat for making your omelette, food variety…. chef’s kiss.
