We recently stayed at The Leela Kovalam for two nights, and overall, it was a really memorable experience! A huge shoutout to Bismi Gopal, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. She coordinated everything for us—spa activities, a cooking class, tennis, transportation—you name it. Super efficient, friendly, and helpful! The property itself is gorgeous. It’s sprawling, with stunning architecture and thoughtful design. Walking through the gardens was a highlight, especially spotting peacocks everywhere—it felt magical. The gym and yoga amenities were excellent, and we really enjoyed the complimentary yoga sessions. One of the best parts of our stay was the cooking masterclass. We learned so much about the cuisine, and it was such a fun, hands-on experience. Plus, every meal we had was fantastic—Cafe’s dishes were bursting with flavor (seriously, a flavor bomb every time). Chandran provided amazing service and made every meal feel extra special. The buffets at The Terrace were also a standout—huge variety and absolutely delicious! Our room was lovely, but we did have a mosquito issue. It would be great if housekeeping used an electric racket during room prep to make it a little more comfortable. The one area that didn’t quite live up to expectations was the spa. The space felt a bit dingy, and my Ayurvedic facial wasn’t smooth sailing. The sugar scrub used during the treatment got stuck in my earrings and hair, which made the whole experience feel a little clunky. That said, the positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and we’d recommend The Leela Kovalam for anyone looking for a mix of relaxation, great food, and beautiful surroundings.

It was fantastic experience. Ayurvedic food was very nice. Beach is very good. Especially my yoga lessons in the morning. Don’t forget my teacher Muktha. She is the best. And Ayurvedic treatment in the spa was fantastic. Thank you Leela. I’ll come back soon.

The property is awesome, well maintained. Susmita has taken care of all our needs and helped us throughout our stay. She has been very polite and even she was checking if we are doing good and everything is fine. Thank you Team Leela. Hope to come back again :-)

This beautiful hotel is in a stunning clifftop setting with unspoiled views over the sea. The huge grounds offer a secluded oasis of scenic walkways including a private area on the nearby beach. The bars, restaurants and amenities are all excellent however it’s the exceptional customer service that stands out. Every member of staff offers the upmost in friendliness, attention and assistance. Our stay was in the club suites. It was a superb room which offered a number of additional benefits including a quieter pool area and dining options separate to the main hotel but again, it was the service we received that set it apart. Rahul and his team could not have done more for us and deserve a huge thank you for making our visit to celebrate my wife’s birthday so memorable, the surprise cake and bouquet of flowers was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend the Leela.
