The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel

The Leela is a spacious and luxurious hotel. The staff are all very friendly and the contact point for handling requests was great. We stayed in a beach cottage which brings a quieter and more relaxed environment to chill out in. The cottage was walking distance from the beach, a swimming pool and a bar and restaurant. The buggy service was very useful abs the cottages are quite a walk uphill to the main reception restaurants and bar. Overall a enjoyable and relaxing staying just what we wanted at the end of a busy tour round the sites in Kerala.

I had a wonderful stay at Leela Kovalam. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly especially Susmita made our stay very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was incredible. I was spoilt for choice. While the hotel was generally amazing, I found the rooms very dimly lit. I guess that was not to my liking. Even some of the electric points for international plugs were not working. I hope to return again in the future with better lights in the room and electric points working.

Firstly, Reservations was a nightmare. So many mistakes. They booked two rooms in error. then they had to cancel both rooms, so we had to rebook a lower class room (we had initially booked the club suite but that was no longer available due to all the booking issues), at a much higher rate (they refused to give the same rate!). The “Club” area is supposed to be an upgrade, so we booked the club room. The room size for club room is too too small!! And the bathroom is tiny. So many things were not working properly (doors, electric plugs etc). Even after raising to the duty manager (Jamshad), he did absolutely nothing to help address the situation except get maintenance to fix some of the issues, or downgrade to a lower category of room. No apology whatsoever. The other lower category rooms are actually bigger but not in the club area. There was no form of any compensation offered, very disappointing. Completely different experience to Leela palace Bengaluru where we spent the previous 5 nights. Afternoon tea - sandwiches v v basic (esp compared to the Leela Palace in Bangalore where we’d just come from) Room issues - tiny room, tiny bathroom (toilet & shower doors clash!), loose taps, unsafe plugs that sparked if we tried to use them. In the tiny bathroom, the shower door was not water tight, so made the floor slippery and wet. Empty food containers not replenished during buffets, until guests ask for it Also, because we’d booked under a different email address, they refused to add my loyalty points to my Leela account, even after I requested just to change the email address on my booking. Overall, very very disappointed with our stay, and it’s changed our view of the Leela brand. It’s a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, but the admin & management really let the place down.

It was a super comfortable stay. Enjoyed the ambience and hospitality. Especially ms. Susmitaji coordinated all my activities to great satisfaction. She is a young charming and kind lady took care of my wife's little needs in our room to make room cost and comfortable. She arranged for our room upgrade so we donot have to travel on foot too much. She always seemed to be alert and tirelessly pursue her job. Wonderful and refreshing toiletries fresh towels and quick service are the memories we all friends will carry. All your staff are well trained and courteous. Bed and pillows are exceptionaly soft and dream come true .

We are coming here for the second time , first time we came to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and now celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We chose the same place because the stay , staff and the service is Amazing 🤩, our guest relation staff sushmita was very helpful and catered to all our needs . We were very sceptical about travelling with our 1 year old , but we had the best time here , can't wait to come here again !!
