Still one of our favorite hotels in Shibuya. Beautiful, modern, clean, very well kept, exceptional service, large rooms (for Japan standards). Located in central Shibuya, 5 minute walk to Shibuya Crossing, close to metro and anything else you may need while in Tokyo.

Tokyo is an extremely vast city and so you cannot possibly be on the doorstep of everything, but once we had decided on basing ourselves in Shibuya, we found that the Cerulean Tower hotel is about as good a base as you can get. It is a 5 minute walk from the main Shibuya station which provides transport links to each area of Tokyo, and is a 5/10 minute walk into the heart of Shibuya and everything it has to offer. Even though the hotel is centrally located, it is set back enough that it feels calm and relaxing once you return. Our room was spacious, very clean and had amazing views over the city. The rooms are slightly dated but were still comfortable and provided everything we needed.

Probably the best hotel I have stayed at in Tokyo. Great location 5 minutes from Shibuya station, the largest rooms I have seen in the city, with plenty of space for a large bathroom with tub and shower, two queen beds and a sitting area. Well stocked with all kinds of amenities in the bathroom, daily water and even small packets of wet wipes. The staff were all very professional and efficient, and I especially commend the concierge staff who helped with some almost impossible to get reservations! All for less than what you would pay for a typical 4 star hotel of this quality. We had a drink at the lovely bar up top (do note there is a service charge after 7 pm) although the views from our room were already pretty fantastic (including Tokyo Tower). Otherwise we did not eat at the hotel - we opted out of breakfast so we could sample 7-11 and Family Mart, and there is a 7-11 just outside the hotel on the 2nd floor (one level up from the lobby)!

I just have to rave about this amazing hotel! Apart from the gorgeous room and breathtaking views, the staff and the service is just without comparison! Our bed is made with crisp clean linen (everything including the doona cover!) every single day! Our amenities are replenished our towels all replaced - even when it’s hanged to dry, it’s so clean it looks like a brand new room every day! The amenities are next level - first time we have a curling iron in addition to a hair dryer. Even luxe pajamas & slippers! I wore my slippers and the next day they were replaced! Same with the bath robe. We have so many toiletries - L’occitaine brand shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash & body lotion; in large bottles and not bolted to the wall! Razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes, facial cleanser and two types of moisturiser, hair bands… a hairbrush!! (You could leave your entire toiletry bag home and you’ll be OK)! The layout, lighting and furniture is so well thought out! We have a massive dehumidifier in our room keeping things super comfortable. Nespresso coffee maker and pods replenished every day. Fully stocked mini bar. Drinking glasses kept in the fridge. Japan News (English newspaper) delivered to our room every morning. We’ve stayed in many hotels and other accommodation allover the world but this is the first time I’ve been blown away like this. There is not a single thing I’d change about our experience or anything in the room or the hotel. They’ve thought of everything in the greatest detail! We cannot fault a single thing! Blown away! The staff! Where do I start? Just absolutely amazing! In the morning when you come out the lift into the lobby there is a lovely lady greeting you and wishing you a great day! Everyone was super attentive - you just look up and someone comes over to look after your needs. The reception staff and concierge were next level! We arrived very early in the morning from an overnight flight so our room wasn’t ready but they offered us somewhere to freshen up and stored our luggage while we go out to explore Tokyo. When we returned, our luggage was already in our room and they even popped hubby’s hat that we left with the luggage, in a protective bag! I could go on and on…!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, this hotel offered an incredible level of service. The reception team were exceptionally polite and professional, quickly handling queries when required. Our room was the ideal size, and offered a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. It also included everything we needed for our stay - from bath salts, hair tongs and toothbrushes to pyjamas, room freshener, and tea/coffee facilities. The location is absolutely ideal, and includes a number of restaurants, high quality patisserie, and an on-site combini which stocks snacks, meals and toiletries. Additionally, lots of small touches (such as an origami crane and homemade sweets waiting for us in our room) made all the difference. We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
