With an incomparable perspective on the city and a singular, moat-side setting just opposite the Imperial Palace gardens, the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Palace Hotel Tokyo is a haven of hospitality – serene and refined, and imbued with understated luxury throughout. Paying homage to a legacy that dates back more than half a century, the multi-award-winning modern masterpiece is a sophisticated celebration of its country’s culture and a tribute to omotenashi – Japanese hospitality.

The hotel is a very neat, clean and luxurious. There are many things going for this hotel. It is in a very scenic surrounding. The check in and bell staff were very courteous and practical. The restaurants are good and the breakfast was good though would not say it was excellent. The breakfast staff service was though excellent and sitting out by the water was a pleasure. The location is just above the metro station and is in a quieter part of Tokyo. Also near the Tokyo main station. Generally staff was considerate and attentive and rooms were very nice and comfortable. We had a balcony with a view too. Having said that the reason I would not stay here again is the concierge staff. Extremely unhelpful and not interested in their job. Sadly I would go even one step further that they misguided us a couple of times. Specially when we asked them to book a particular kind of Japanese restaurant - sent us to an ultra expensive tourist trap- and the restuaruant was useless. Have had Teppanyaki in places ousite Japan. As soon as you get to them they want to get rid of you - do not volunteer any information on their own. Very uncharacterstic for a hotel in the Luxury Collection. Thank heavens we had done our own research for the most part - relying on the conierge would have ensured complete diaster. They only managed to destroy one eveing and only delayed us with incomplete instructions a few times. I am recommending to Amex Platinum to take this hotel out of the Luxury Collection. Good stay spoilt by a bad conceirge - one eveing wasted out of 5 in Tokyo. I did talk to the manger about this at checkout and he said they are always trying to improve which is good but Well not at my expense or time anymore !!!

Luxurious Japanese service. Hotel is very clean and detailed. Room is not very big but you can get anything you need. I love the balcony with a palace view. Location is convenient and there’s some shops in basement. One of my favorite hotels in Tokyo.

Excelente hotel, exceptional service, food and atmosphere. Perfect stay. With a subterranean passway to the metro station, and a 7 eleven. Clean with the perfect view of the imperial palace., and the fountain park. My family / business trip was made outstanding with this hotel. It also has WiFi and a spa

This is my second time staying at this hotel. It's a beautiful place but the service can be disappointing. There have been mess ups with restaurant reservations on both occasions. In room dining was also terrible service. Its a pity for such a beautiful place that there are such gaps in the service

A second visit to this hotel as it just the best in Tokyo. Right at the marathon finish line too which is a bonus. Top tip: Grab yourself a club level room and enjoy the complementary Laurent Perrier Champagne to celebrate with some delicious hot snacks.
