One of the city’s most luxurious hotels superbly located in Yurakucho, opposite the Imperial Palace and Hibiya Park, The Peninsula Tokyo offers commanding views of the Japanese capital skyline. The Hotel is within minutes' walk of the shopping capital of Ginza and Shinbashi. What sets the Peninsula Tokyo apart from other international luxury hotels is its focus on creating a modern Japanese ambience, whereas other hotels adopt a standard international décor. The Peninsula Tokyo’s interior and exterior is contemporary, yet echoes Japan’s rich heritage and culture in its design. The Peninsula Tokyo pampers its guests with a spa center and a fitness club with a swimming pool and sun loungers, overlooking the Imperial Palace Gardens. Ryokan-inspired rooms are simple and streamlined, designed with the idea of "techno-ergonomic-user-friendly", so every control and switch is located precisely where it is required so its use is intuitive and effortless. The granite and cherry wood bathrooms with large soaking tubs will make your stay a pleasant relax.

Excellent service and well maintained rooms. Each member of the staff is courteous and efficient. Had a wonderful stay from my arrival until my departure. The hotel even prepared a birthday celebration for me in my room. Most efficient of the staff are always the bell service namely Nagamo and Yuta. Jhulyn of the front desk is also very well trained. The best bellhops on my trip were Nao and on my last day when I checked out, i was assisted superbly by Yuto with all my baggage.

We visited in late August for a planned week’s holiday in the wonderful city of Tokyo. The Tokyo Peninsula was the first Peninsula we had stayed in back in 2013 & we loved it so much we’ve stayed at the New York, Hong Kong & Beijing Peninsulas since then. We’ve never been let down. Our holiday turned into a nightmare after a couple of days when my wife was knocked down by a taxi, as she crossed a road in the city, receiving serious injuries & admission to intensive then critical care wards for several weeks. As awful as our situation was the hotel couldn’t have done any more to help and assist me during her hospitalisation, and the two of us, when we returned following her release from hospital. I had contact availability with duty managers whenever required, assistance was offered with translation or assistance to visit police, lawyers, insurance etc. The number of small touches (flowers, chocolates, personal cards) & staff members (managers, bellhops, waiters, room service, cleaners) who knew of our situation & offered care & support are too many to list, and we are both eternally grateful & appreciative of the care & hospitality we received. I’m fortunate to be working in the Far East over the next couple of years & we’ll be returning sometime in 2025 to hopefully have the holiday we’d planned & thank everyone again in person. Look forward to seeing you all, and beautiful Tokyo again. ❤️ C & F

Luxe choice amongst many in the Ginza/Imperial Palace area. We wanted to focus on Ginza walkabout and the Gardens for our 2 day/3 night stay, and this was the PERFECT choice. Very high quality across the board and I highly recommend using Amex Travel here which gained us a 2 level upgrade and free room service breakfast at no extra cost. We took Narita Express to Tokyo Station for $42 vs $500 for a driver; the reverse seemed more daunting but the Concierge Team helped us book the Limousine Bus at similar cost and ease. The artwork here is amazing and I feel you have to be very picky to complain...we are and I did but Management responded quickly and appropriately. I think The Peninsula is an amazing brand that I want to be associated with.

This was our first visit to Japan and the Peninsula , the first hotel of our stay. Being unfamiliar with both the culture and the country, we instantly felt at home with its welcoming, and gracious, environment of impeccable hospitality . No request was too much. When we asked for a heater to warm the room, one was brought to the room in minutes. A question to housekeeping for a sewing repair to my husband’s jacket again was resolved with no fuss and in record time., so quickly delivered to our room . The service was consistently warm efficient and seamless. The exact kind of comfort, style and luxury one expects from a five star hotel. And the Peninsula delivers and then some! Breakfasts are delicious and the service exquisite. The rooms offer every conceivable luxury. Wonderful beds, spacious storage, silky bed linens and plush robes and towels. And the toiletries are wonderful. The entire experience was beyond our highest expectations, we loved everything!

This review is from a few years ago, and long overdue. We arrived at the hotel after a few days in Shanghai and, unbeknownst to me, I was seriously ill, and passed out as we were checking in. The hotel arranged for an ambulance to take me to a hospital, and sent along an interpreter. Was better after receiving medications and resting for a few days. The hotel was first rate at making sure I was taken care of. Then my wife came down with the same flu, and they found an America doctor to help her. Service was just impeccable. Lovely pool, hairdresser on site, excellent food. Easy walk ti Imperial Palace and they sent a guide with us. We were there during cherry blossom season, and it was a site to behold. Loved this hotel, the staff, and the illness was unfortunate as it clearly is one of the best in Asia.
