Fairmont Royal York

Fabulous hotel. I stayed in a club room. They called it a Gold Room I think. It had access to their fabulous club room. Whilst alcohol isn’t complimentary at any time it available to buy and the food is amazing. Breakfast, food in the evening and cakes to die for. The staff in the club room are great but with a special mention for Temo for whom nothing was too much trouble. I’m here whilst we have the power outage at Heathrow. I’ve had to extend my stay and contact BA for a later flight. He did everything to help me. Wonderful attention.

From the moment we walked through the doors it was like being transported to a different era. The gleaming art deco clock, the glistening chandeliers, the library bar, and the unparalleled service throughout the hotel was pure magic. Every request was met with a smile. Need a fridge? Absolutely no problem. Want cream sent to the room for your Nespresso? Will do. The room was spotless. The bed? insanely comfy. The entire weekend was perfection and we cannot wait to return.

Our reservation was on the Gold floor and it did not disappoint. Our room was nicely appointed, well maintained, and clean. Our king bed was very comfortable. The Gold lounge was exceptional, with live entertainment, very good appetizers. Their breakfast offerings were good as well.

From start to finish this is the place to treat yourself. At every turn the staff provide outstanding customer service. The lounge is very relaxing and has great food and drink. The food offerings are very yummy. The rooms are pristine with every amenity you can think of and housekeeping staff maintain them perfectly. There are lots restaurants and museums within walking distance or a short public transit ride. The hotel is connect directly to a subway stop and the underground PATH system meaning you never have to go outside in bad weather. Highly recommended.

The Fairmont Royal York's location can't be beat - across the street from Union Station (easy access to VIA trains), down the street from the Aquarium, HHOF, Scotiabank Place; Casa Loma & ROM a short TTC ride away. Elegant, iconic environs. Food is top-notch. But what distinguishes the Royal York from others is its service - the staff are exceptional. Added fun for March break - a special gift for children on arrival, cookie decorating with the chefs, and more. Did I mention the pool? We will be back!
