Great amenities and perfect location downtown. Fairmont did not honour the Accor sign up discount which was disappointing but otherwise decent customer service. No fridge available so make sure to request one on check in or as early as possible.

The level of service on the Gold Floor is world class. At breakfast, with a full day of meetings ahead; I mentioned we were checking out. Without hesitation, they offered to retrieve our bags from the room & hold them for the day. Saving us a return trip to the room and allowing us to proceed with our day!

This is an historic, grand upscale hotel conveniently located across from Union Station in downtown Toronto. The UP Express train provides a convenient and direct route from the aiport. Many important companies are a few steps away. The rooms are pleasantly modernized - almost. Staff is quite helpful. Alas, there are two huge defects that will make me choose another hotel in my next visit to Toronto. 1) There is no bathtub, which is a big problem as I prefer to soak in a tub. To make matters worse, the walk in shower is really badly designed: Because of the placement of the shower door and the shower controls, the only way to turn the water on is to reach around the door and almost get into the shower. This means that you get hit with a blast of cold water no matter what you do. If you stand outside the shower and do this, water gets out into the main bathroom floor. 2) The lobby doubles as a bar with loud throbbing music that made me want to get out of there as fast as possible. This was totally out of character with the rest of the vibe of the hotel. My calibrated Sound Meter app measured the volume at 74 dB, perilously close to the 78dB noise limit in Ontario. 3) This hotel has one of those "We will charge you big bucks for wifi unless you sign up for our loyalty program" systems, which is annoying, especially since the highest level wifi speed was pretty mediocre.

The Fairmont Royal York Toronto is a stellar experience. The staff, amenities, location and service are simply the best a guest could hope for in a hotel stay. The lobby and our hotel room were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Every staff member was kind and well informed. Definitely a 5 out of 5 star stay.

I travel to Toronto for work frequently. The Fairmont Royal York is by far my favorite place to stay. The staff and accommodations are always warm and welcoming. If you want a place to stay that provides a true connection to the city and its history, while providing top service, the Fairmont Royal York is the place for you.

We had a great time. The hotel has excellent staff and service. The food is outstanding and the cocktails are too. It’s is a perfect place to go for 2 nights. This package deal you offer is fantastic. I will do it again.
Thanks very much!
