Customer service is top notch. Personalized hand written note in room welcoming you. Staff meets your every need. Quiet luxurious room. Large variety of amenities and fabulous restaurant. 5 star and well worth the price!! A Gem In the heart of shopping district. Beautiful architecture to view on a morning walk.

If there was ever a perfect hotel, this would have to be it! A great location, wonderful dining, a luxurious spa (which I only stopped by to see, but will definitely be bringing my wife to experience), and truly elegant rooms. But I have to say the best part is by far the people! Being on the road traveling for business 35% of my life, I definitely notice truly authentic guest service and hospitalty, versus the overly scripted experieces I so often get at other luxury hotels.

First the good - the staff are fantastic. Literally everyone. The location cannot be beat. It is a fantastic area. The bathroom was superb, as was the bedroom and the hallway. Bathroom floors were heated. Did I mention the staff? Literally everyone was great. The spa? Fantastic. The rest? Meh. The restaurant was ok. Room service breakfast? Ok. The room? Overall fine, but at the prices, fine is not what I'm paying for. The room had a sitting room. Remarkably uncomfortable. The furniture is unsittable. The lighting is atrocious-half the room is in darkness because there are two lights in the entire room. The television would not chromecast and staff couldn't fix the problem. A travel-all Roku and Amazon Fire Stick wouldn't work either. The lights didn't work properly. Think Demon Seed. The lights are clearly computerized and the three switch panels in the room control different aspects. The switches stopped working our last day there - the lights would not come on. You would turn the switch on and the lights would turn off and on for 30 minutes. The hotel would have been fine if it was not for the cost. It is expensive. For expensive, I expect more. I expect things to work. I expect rooms to be elegant and/or unique. The Hazelton was not elegant and things did not work. It was really nothing more than a straight-forward average hotel room (except for the bathroom - the bathroom was elegant). To be clear, I am no hotel snob. I think that's clear from reviews I have written. I have no issue with high cost hotels, and, frankly, I'm fine in a well run local mom and pop as I am in a fine establishment joint. I have been shocked at how well run some shoddy not great first impression places have been. I've been impressed as hell with elegant expensive as hell places, even when there are minor inconveniences. Sadly, the Hazelton is the most overrated extremely expensive hotel I have been to and would not recommend it based on our experience

We had a magical experience at the hazelton. It was my partner's birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They had a couple surprises waiting for us on arrival and Maira was able to book us a class at othership. Thanks for a great stay!
