Explora Torres del Paine Patagonia

I had a wonderful stay at Explora and thoroughly enjoyed the experience overall. The food was excellent, with gourmet dinners and fantastic breakfast spreads, and the views of the Paine Massif and the Horns were absolutely stunning. The excursions offered were well-curated and a highlight of the trip. However, there were a couple of areas where my experience could have been better. Room Ventilation: The central heating system in the rooms made them quite warm at night. While opening the windows helped, it also let in daylight, which can be disruptive if you prefer to sleep early, like I do. Mount Británico Hike: This was the most disappointing part of my stay. The guides maintained a very fast pace, which felt rushed and didn’t allow me to enjoy the stunning scenery or take photos at the many beautiful viewpoints along the trail. As an avid hiker, I usually maintain a good pace, but I prefer to hike at a speed that allows me to truly appreciate the journey, not just the destination. The guides seemed intent on returning by 5 PM to catch Explora’s private catamaran, which created unnecessary pressure. Ironically, we ended up returning at 7 PM because I couldn’t keep up with the pace. If the guides had planned for a later return, I could have completed the hike to Mount Británico and enjoyed it without feeling rushed. For a trip to Patagonia, which is often a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, this was a significant disappointment. I hope Explora can revisit the scheduling and pacing of their excursions to better accommodate guests with different hiking styles and ensure a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Overall, Explora is a fantastic place to stay, and I hope my feedback helps improve future visits for other guests.

The Explora experience is probably the best outdoor/hospitality experience we’ve had. Guides expertise is outstanding and every trek/hike is very well prepared, from begging to end. In-house, the gastronomic offer is very good, 10 out of 10. Guides, in-house staff, drivers, gauchos (at the horse stables), etc, are passionate on sharing with you the love of nature and the thrill to explore the park. … location wise, perfect!

Magical high energy paradise , this place has nailed luxury with activity and being made to feel special with great guides and fab food ! Get ready to push yourself if you want to and enjoy the beauty and the activity of the place that we call nature on steroids, the facilities are amazing, we did the W trek and it was challenging but brilliant! We loved the set up and the explanation of hikes is very accurate . If it says hard it’s hard. The explanations of activity’s are honest, we love that! Mega special and we need to go back!

Magnificent. This hotel is perfect. Amazing beautiful location, great design, wonderful staff, lovely food and drinks. Lots of organised tours into the park of many types and levels of challenge. Boutique size hotel. All the staff are super professional and friendly.

Great stay. 2 families with 5 rooms. The food was excellent. Our waiter Anthony was a star. Daily exploration options offer many excursions for everyone. The guides led by Rodrigo are world class. We had Ginger as our head guide. He nailed it. Base to Towers hike was a group highlight. I was able to go for a drive in the Puma Triangle with Danilo. This man can find Puma more efficiently than the Puma Tracker cruising the park. We saw a Morher Puma charge up a hill and kill a baby Guanaco. She then carried her kill down the hill to be joined by her 3 cubs.
