We stayed here for a week, our first time in Mexico. Gorgeous venue on the coast, easy to walk around and multiple swimming pools in case the main one is too crowded. The kids club was especially fun for my young kids, they got to make slime, play board games, and watch movies. Every restaurant we went to was fantastic as well. The only challenge we had was getting dinner reservations for some of them, but everything turned out okay and we were able to try every dinner restaurant. The concierges, travel guides, the kids club staff, and all the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. It made for a wonderful experience for our family.

We love Tulum Conrad. There were so many activities. Especially, Angie, Rocio, and Shamara are amazing! We really enjoyed the family activities because of them—they made our experience truly unforgettable. We’re so grateful for their effort in creating such special moments. Highly recommend!

We loved all the instructors from the Kids Club. Our daughter always wants extra attention, and they were so nice and loving with her. Definitely recommend using the facility and knowing your little ones are safe and happy. Everyone at the resort is very friendly and helpful. 4 nights just isn’t enough!

Stayed for 6 nights in mid/late March 2025. Spouse and I had relaxing stay, great weather and outstanding service from Conrad employees. Would return again without hesitation. Transportation—about 75-90 minutes from CUN; used Canada Transfers private car service which was easy and nicer than a white van (but substandard to black car service in US). Driver Uzi was great both ways. Security is tight getting into shared entrance Conrad/Hilton which was reassuring, with each vehicle coming in documented which was reassuring for safety/security. TIP---look into the Mayan Express Train from CUN along the entire eastern coast to Tulum; this new train could have saved us hundreds of dollars had I known about it; going to be a game changer. Room---We booked tropical view room and was upgraded to Ocean view suite in Casa 1 building (there are 6 buildings/Casas). The room is actually two rooms, one for sleeping/bathing and the other for relaxing/dining/working, for a total of over 1,000 sq. ft. Maid service was great (don’t forget to leave some pesos on pillow each day). Only cons were: 1) water pressure in shower/hot water was scarce due to constraints on system. We had maintenance come to room and check and he confirmed it is common to not have water pressure/hot water when the system is burdened (but resort was less than 50% capacity—yes I asked about occupancy at front desk); 2) mini frig was only big enough for drinks for available for sale and really did not even chill them. Ice bucket in room was size of a big gulp. TIP---bring a soft side cooler from home in luggage; I did and wish I brought a bigger one; and 3) each Casa has an ice machine on floor 1; the ice machine in Casa 1 was broken since before my arrival to the day before I left, requiring me go to Casa 2 for ice several times a day (major inconvenience given how big this place is). I reported the issue to the front desk; they responded by asking if they could bring me ice, which was nice but in no way addressed the underlying problem. By my exit date, the ice machine was working so give them credit for fixing it within a week. Pool/Beach---with the resort less than half full, it was not a problem finding chairs/cabana. They have about 5 pools, but all are decorative and shallow so don’t expect to swim laps at this property. The “hot tubs” embedded in the pools were really gathering/socializing rectangles so don’t expect a high temp tub with soothing jets either. Beach was smallish about 150 yards long and positioned in rocky cove with crews cleaning up the seaweed each morning. TIP---don’t expect to go on long beach walks as the terrain is rocky and full of jungle (similar to other resorts in the area). Went to Akumal for a day and even their nice and busy beach (which cost 140 pesos/person to get into park) was less than out 1/2 mile long and full of same seaweed. Food---We ate at every restaurant except Autor. Overall food was good. Our favorite was the breakfast buffet which was great; seemed to get more crowded with line forming the later you go (closes at 11am). Favorite outdoor lunch/early dinner was Chiriguito Crudo. Attractions---we did not have a car so we took taxi (450 pesos) to Akumal for lunch/walking around. Ate lunch at La Buena Vista; was nice on water and food decent. Also bought tix to Aktun Chen online (use coupon code 15OFF for 15% discount online). Golf cart took us to Conrad exit, walked down Hwy 307 to entrance, Aktun Chen security guard called transport to pick us up about 15 minutes later and take us 3 miles inward to reception. Cave tour was interesting/scenic, humid inside and fast paced; lots of bending over and watching your head/helmet from low stalactites. Park has animal sanctuary on walk back to reception. TIP---hit up the 7-11 next to Aktun Chen entrance and stock up on drinks/beer; bring plastic/cloth bag as 7-11 does not give them out. Gym—we went 3 mornings to gym for run on treadmill (the paths on property are not intended for walking/running due to high cart/vehicle traffic). Gym was nice and had several rooms for yoga/weights/machines; felt crowded yet resort less than 50% occupied. Had 8 treadmills; one with screen not working and 2+ with fatal touch screen sensitivity issues (touch in one place and does not respond anywhere close. Conrad needs to immediately have all the treadmill touchscreens recalibrated for usage as designed/expected. Spouse twice attended sunrise (8am) yoga session on beach and enjoyed. Spa---Had 50 min. couples massage and spouse had 50 min. facial. Very relaxing and satisfying. Spa is about ¾ mile from main reception so golf cart bellmen will drop you there and pickup. Conrad Spa shared with Hilton guests too. Hot tub in men’s locker room not really hot at all and jets not working, so set your expectations accordingly. Gratuity (propina) not included in spa pricing so see reception upon exit and they can add gratuity on spa invoice or you can leave pesos in secure gratuity envelopes provided at reception desk for your treatment providers. TIP---may not want to book spa in advance and rather find Andres in pool area (shorter elderly local gentlemen with wide brimmed hat wearing khaki sun protection clothing holding white binder); he can offer you discount (say 20%).
