Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya

Had a very enjoyable stay here. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The pool design is great. Beach, sea and views are lovely. Never felt overcrowded (except at breakfast). Overall, exceeded my expectations given that the hotel is much nicer than how it appears in the photos. My only complaints are: 1. Needing to queue some mornings to get a table for breakfast; and 2. the food options for dinner can be better as whilst there are several restaurants, I didn’t find the choice and quality of the food to be the best.

As you can see from the pictures below, the construction destroyed the ambiance of this supposed $600+ per night 5 star hotel. Pounding, sawing and ratcheting was happening throughout the evening as we sat at the bar outside. After conveying my concerns the lady manager apologized and said she wanted to extend something to make our final night there special. She said she was calling the Asian restaurant to have us taken care of for dinner. I told her that wasn't necessary but she insisted. We conveyed our concerns were that they sacrificed our experience for that of the group that was coming in. All we wanted to do was point out that that is not how you treat guests. She said she would come down in the morning before we checked out and see us off. She never showed up. Well, I don't know what the "special" thing was about the call to the Asian restaurant. We went and ate and it was good food. We paid full price for the meal. We could have done that anyway. It is one thing to pay this amount for our rooms and stay at what is supposed to be a 5 star facility but it is another to be offered something and not have it happen. This experience, and how it was handled, gives me a negative feeling about Conrad and Hilton facilities. I don't think I would ever return to this place and will likely switch to Marriotts for my future vacation and business stays.

I’ve visited the Conrad multiple times before and during my most recent visit, I had the worst experience possible. Staff was unhelpful — they were rude, brought the wrong drink multiple times, and gave us wet towels. We were even served undercooked pizza and multiple items listed in the menu weren’t available. After this experience, I’m never coming back to this hotel and am hesitant about visiting any other Conrad property.

This is a beautiful hotel with a great staff. However there was an event happening the week following our stay and they spent half of our trip building a massive tent for it that obscured the views from the hotel and made it feel like a construction site. The staff was also spending noticeably more time preparing for the event and less with current guests. I understand that hotels have to make money and events are part of the business. I just wish they would’ve balanced it better with the comfort of their guests. I would also say the CEIBA club isn’t worth the cost. Yes you get food and drink in the club, but it’s a small area on the backside of the hotel with no view. Would highly recommend avoiding the week before this event (which apparently happens yearly).

Beautiful hotel with a great staff. They made sure I had everything I needed. They even sent daily message of the activity schedule. My 7 year old daughter and myself enjoyed morning yoga, made essential oil, and had a crafting class with Ruth, she was great. I told her the classes I wanted to take and she found me at the pool to make sure I didn’t miss it. Ruth was also very patient and helped my daughter to the end of her art project which was really sweet. We enjoyed a Michelin Star restaurant on site. And had a lovely walk through the jungle to a very yummy breakfast. I am usually a Marriott hotel girl, but because of the Conrad Tulum will definitely look up more locations for my future trips. 🫶🏽ILy’s Review: 🫶🏽also it’s beautiful and artistic and amazing for us to hang up in our rooms and look at it every day so we can wake up and have a good day every day we see it or we can give it to someone so they will feel happy and kind when they’re down .
