In the center of Turin, cradled by Northern Italy's eponymous mountains, NH Collection Turin Piazza Carlina is a gateway to the city's cultural and natural attractions. This hotel, part of the Lifestyle collection by Preferred Hotels & Resorts is warm and inviting, with a color scheme of cream and antique rose. Vibrant hardwood floors and furniture handcrafted by local carpenters lend a modern touch to rooms in this 17th century building, which has a colorful past; it was once home to Antonio Gramsci, co-founder of Italy's Communist Party.

Lovely, relaxing, comfortable and stylish hotel in the middle of Turin. The central courtyard is striking and the restoration sympathetic and impressive. We were given a very quiet room on the terrace floor. Great bath with shower, fluffy towels and very good toiletries, nice comfy beds not much cupboard space and strangely enough no drawers. Superb breakfast with everything you could imagine and more, all of first choice. Service kind and very present but not intrusive at all. I am really looking forward to return.

Can’t beat the location. Easy walking distance to most major attractions in the centro. Plenty of restaurants/shopping in the surrounding area. Interesting building and common area design. Staff was always pleasant, including at the breakfast service. Yes, there was football club staying while we were there, but we didn’t feel pushed aside for them. Room and bath were clean, linens decent and beds comfortable. Appreciated the minimalist approach to room furniture… gave us space for our luggage. Wear and tear on the rooms was minor and not worth noting. Breakfast service was a highlight: Simple, high quality food well presented .

Location, service, quality, great breakfast. large room, in fact a Junior Suite but a few things we did not like and/or are just mistakes by the architects. We don’t like a bathroom that is open to the bedroom. there was no room at all to place our personal items. One part with the toilet and shower is separated but with a sliding glass door. Who started placing glass doors to separate toilets ??? The phone and toilet paper holder were also placed by someone who never tried to use them. it’s just impossible. the shower door is in the wrong position and the shower is long but too narrow. the light switches were another impossible item to understand. we did not manage during our 2 day stay. Final remark : why a Queen size double bed was placed in a suite that should have had a King size bed (?) Sorry NH management, too many errors made in the concept of this Suite.

I always felt welcomed from the moment I arrived to when I had a question about my room, or when I wanted to add on a guest for the daily breakfast, the staff were always so helpful and patient with my questions. I enjoyed the amenities in the room such as the Lavazza coffeemaker. The products in the bathroom were of a higher quality than at most hotels. The balcony to the street was an added plus to have fresh air in the morning. When the doors were closed, the street noise on weekends was minimal. I like the scent of cedar in the closets. I had more than enough hangers. The hotel serves the best breakfast with many coffee options. The staff who worked during breakfast were exceptional even when the hotel was full. My encounters with the front desk, the housekeeping, the bellmen, and restaurant were all five-star quality while being at the soldout hotel during my week in Turin. The location is convenient for using public transportation and for walking to the key tourist attractions. I am impressed with how I felt treated by staff being so warm to me as a guest than what I have experienced at the average tourist-focused hotel in Italy.

Historically beautiful, safe and convenient location, and probably the best hotel in Turin, as recommended to us by our local friend, better than the 5 star hotels we had considered. Room large and tall ceilings, great view onto the piazza. Staff all very helpful and efficient, bed comfy and bathroom fabulous. My only gripe is the wooden floors are a bit dirty, and maybe because it’s old, there is a slightly sewage smell that bothered me. Having said that, it will be my go to for Turin from now.
