Taj Lake Palace

Beautiful hotel in middle of lake with amazing scenery. The staff welcomed us with Indian musicians and dancers, falling rose petals and a flower garland. All employees were friendly and helpful. They made our stay so comfortable it was hard to leave. Delicious breakfast buffet with classical Indian as well as western cuisine. Lots of fresh fruits. The bed and pillows were perfect for a restful sleep. The jetty to and from the hotel and the town was convenient

From the moment we stepped off the boat we felt like we had stepped into another world. A world of luxury and comfort where all your needs are met. The Palace Hotel is a breathtakingly beautiful historic palace with wonderful views all around of Udaipur city palace and the Monsoon Palace perched on a distant hill. The rooms are spacious and meticulously decorated in a style fit for royalty. There are two excellent restaurants on site and a very lovely bar area to relax with drinks and snacks while gazing out at the surrounding beauty. In the evenings there is exciting cultural entertainment in the form of music and dancing. There is a boat available 24 hours a day to ferry guest to and from the mainland. Staying here is an experience one will never forget.

The Lake palace hotel is a beautiful property, in a very unique location, being surrounded by a lake. The views from here are spectacular. The staff are very warm and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. The toiletries are of high quality. We had an amazing time here. It’s a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The staff make you feel so special and truly treat you like king & queen.

Property is a piece of history that sits beautifully in the middle of the lake in front of the city palace and once served as the summer home for the king. Other than the food , everything else is just over hyped I guess. I mean our experience was good , the evening folk dance show was fabulous but that’s pretty much it. It also depends on ones taste , we like more modern properties now. Udaivillas stands apart as it has that royal feel but has modern taste in bathrooms. No doubt a beautiful property but hospitality could have a little better, that is a very evident difference in the oberoi and the taj. Over a good stay

It was my 4th stay consecutively at the Taj Lake palace. The experience has been getting better with time. The staff takes care of you like your own family. The food , ambience and all the services that one needs on a luxury get away are found here at its best. A special mention for Mr. Rahul Mehta , Harsh and Sudarshan for making our stay and all the tourism related experiences a beautiful memory!!
