Originally built 250 years ago as a summer palace, Taj Lake Palace has been returned to its former glory, with one sole purpose: the pursuit of leisure. You will feel like honored guests of the Maharana in this exquisite white marble testimony to courtly love, which seems to float like a dream on the still waters of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, India. With their opulent silks, richly colored murals and ornately carved wood furniture, bedrooms and suites offer the ultimate romantic ambience.

The Taj Lake Palace is advertised (and charged) as a 5 star hotel. Do not be deceived. The only luxury thing about it is the view. From the run down entry, faulty and very old bathrooms and smell of lots of perfume to disguise the sewage, this was a terrible experience. The plague of pigeons was the drop that spilled the drink. They had a net on the courtyard, seemingly designed to keep the birds out. It trapped some of them to their death. The noise they produced was deafening. For the same price, do yourself a favor and stay at the other 5star hotel in the area. If you want to see this hotel, go have a drink.

we came here to celebrate our marriage celebration, we are glad we stayed at this place and would definitely love to come back here. Had an absolute great time here and 10000% recommend to anyone who is planning to come to Udaipur. The food, the spa, the place and the best Hospitality. There is nothing like this place. Small small lovely gestures and royal treatment didn’t go unnoticed. Special thanks to Gaurav, Bhaskar, Divya, Harsh and the entire hotel team for making our stay memorable. You all were too sweet!

Not good experience More hype then value for money.Staff working give you vacant look. Most of staff will not greet you when strolling in garden and while some definitely meet you smilingly.Towels in rooms are not of good qualities. Many of switches needs rpacement. In bathrooms even body lotions are not provided which are available in most of 5 star hotels

We stayed here two nights as a part of our tour and couldn’t be any happier. The history, beauty, and the attention of detail of this building is just spectacular. The food was fantastic, drinks tasty and unique, and last, but at least, the warmth and welcoming nature of the staff made this a stay to remember!

Our stay at the Taj Lake Palace was absolutely stellar! The warmth in the hospitality just took the beauty of the property to new heights! Everyone was extremely warm and took such amazing care of us - making each experience memorable from the time we got here, to every meal, conversation and through the organized activities! Our special appreciation and gratitude for Harsh who took care of us from the moment we arrived, and to all the amazing people who made our meals at Jharokha and Neel Kamal so very special (Vaibhav, Yuvraj, Pradeep and many more 😊) We absolutely loved and enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!
