What can I say about our two night stay other than we wish it was longer! After a terrible stay in Manuel Antonio we were thrilled to stay at Oxygen Villas. I would recommend anyone wanting a restful stay to avoid staying IN MA! You can easily stay at Oxygen and visit MA national park. Also the beach there is crowded and everyone is hustling. We did not experience this anywhere else in CR. The villas are really set in the jungle. The surrounding landscape is magnificent! Lush greens, birds, chicades churping away! The food was great - breakfast was lovely. Try the French toast and eggs Benedict à la Oxygen Villas. Now to the villas themselves. We walked up the ramp and the glass villa took my breathe away! Frankly I never wanted to leave, in contrast to the hotel Si Como No in Manuel Antonio which I couldn’t leave fast enough! Both say 4 stars. We are a well travelled couple and both show 4 star on TripAdviser. We gave si Como no a 2.5 but we give Oxygen Villas 5*s! The beach in uvita was our only disappointment. Unfortunately we didn’t get there at 8 am to see the fish tail. We arrived around 11. It was ok but nothing great. We did like that Ballena was sleepy unlike the madness of Manuel Antonio. What is beautiful to see are the waves meeting from either side of the whales tail. Just beautiful. The rest of the beach just ok. Lastly I took two massages. The neck shoulder back with Roxy was fabulous! The jungle massage was good. For me although the first was only 40 minutes, I got more benefit than the 90 minute full body massage They advertise that the 90 min includes hot stone but she only used the stone on my back for a short period of time, not on my legs or arms. This was the only criticism of our stay! So yes, two big thumbs up for Oxygen Villas. Next time we will stay longer.

A stunning place! The bar/restaurant and pool area are truly breathtaking and have been done to a very high standard. The staff were all fantastic and the food was generally good. There is lots to explore locally including the free waterfalls you can access from the hotel, a bigger waterfall further down the hill which id definitely recommend and Marino Ballena National park. The only reasons why I haven’t rated this 5 stars is I think the food is very expensive for Costa Rica (and was not the best food we had on our trip - dinner for two was $100 for a shared starter and dessert and a main each, no drinks) and the breakfast is lacking. For the price and calibre of the hotel, you’d expect a continental buffet or something alongside the one breakfast option you get to pick. On our first morning we ordered a smoothie bowl and paid for this in addition as we would have still been hungry otherwise. We noticed other people ordering and paying for additional fruit etc. which I don’t think is right for the price point of this place. I would avoid villa 1, we had a sewage smell (which they did look into) and it’s very close to the pool/staff area. We could hear them early which didn’t bother us as we were up early anyway but if you want to lay in, I’d request a different villa.

Beautiful jungle property and 5 Star service. 13 rooms means the staff knows everyone, especially the great Food & Beveragr staff! Great infinity pool, naturally a great temp. Wonderful spa! Unparalleled views! Trails to waterfall on site!

The hotel facilities and staff met every expectation. It was very easy to relax and chill. Taking advantage of their spa message was awesome. Breakfast in the jungle no rush and promptly served and attended too. Perfect in every way. Room with a view was spectacular.

We stayed for three nights and thought this hotel was wonderful. We had an ocean view room which was large, huge comfortable bed and a good outside seating area. The hotel provided cold filtered water, insect repellent and sunscreen which was useful. Pool lovely with a great view and a fantastic bar service, well done to Jason. We did not have a car but walked into Uvita which is not too far but quite a steep trip down and up. We are both vegetarian and the food was always cooked fresh to order and was very good. We had arranged a whale watching tour and were lucky enough to not only see whales but to hear them singing. This is a beautiful place to stay especially if you like to be away from it all but still have access to plenty of things to do.
