Great location, beautiful property, great bar!

We loved our time at the Sebastian!! Came up for anniversary weekend from Denver and we were treated very well with strawberries, champagne and a complimentary room upgrade to include a living room suite area!!! The property is in a perfect location for Vail Village. Restaurants, shops all close, along the Vail in town bus line, walk to the gondola about 10 minutes. All the staff at the hotel were friendly! Room - very nice comfortable bed, big TVs, water provided and bathroom amenities including makeup remover. Rooms very spacious although the bathroom a little small and only one sink. Closets have safes and are very large!! Room was clean, plenty of lamps/lighting. We did not hear anything between walls so nice and quiet. Entry/Lobby - Stunning entrance when you arrive, lobby decorated very nice with plenty of lounge areas, Gambit bar off the lobby has live music 7-10 Wednesday - Saturday (I think) which was super fun. Great drinks and small snacks, cozy seating area. Dining - We ate only breakfast at the restaurant but everything was very good. Big menu, not buffet; recommend the skillet!! We also had a snack by the pool which was nice. Pool/Fitness - We didn’t use the fitness center, but it looked very nice. Pool beautiful and heated year-round with towels provided and lots of umbrellas for shade. Several hot tubs and you can get poolside drinks and snacks. We booked a Colorado Resident rate that at the time gave us free parking and I think waived resort fee which was nice and was one factor in booking the Sebastian over the Sonnenalp which we have been to before (and it’s across the street.) Only complaint or feedback was at the pool a nice lady said she would be in charge and help with anything and then disappeared for 45 min so we had to call to get her back and then took our order and brought us both the wrong drinks. In fairness, could have been a language barrier, but then we got our bill right after (we thought it would stay open for a bit) and you are automatically charged a 21% service fee/tip. So a little frustrating with that service. I did take one of the drinks back to the bar area myself and they gave me the right one so all good, but more of a warning of the service fee that we wouldn’t not have given that much in this case. Really all the hotel staff was helpful! Thank you for a great stay! We will be back!

Fantastic except for food services.

This would be a five star rating (and yes we’re coming back) if their restaurant, Lenora, was even “average”. I really think it just boiled down to staffing and training. People don’t know what they don’t know.
