Grand? No, not at all. The rooms were dirty and dated, the staff was extremely rude (saying they would kick us out of our room if someone better came along, I’d like to see that happen) and food was mediocre. The only positive was the free ice skating and shuttle. I think this place needs a huge renovation with the property and staff.

The dining is limited and not good, except for the Sushi Restaurant. The hotel has undergone some upgrades, but the hallways and overall look of the hotel is old, and certain parts are not maintained well. The service is inconsistent, and it was sometimes hard to communicate due to language barriers or lack of proper training. The ski valet is convenient, and they have helpful staff, but not very clean and the trashcans were usually overflowing with trash. Very disappointing experience overall and not worth the value.

Brilliant. Brilliant hotel; brilliant service all round; brilliant facilities; brilliant food. Transfer between the hotel, Vail, Lionshead and Golden Peak was seamless. Having the ski lift come right to the back door (with the ski hire) was priceless.

My husband and I have stayed in Grand Hyatt in Dec 2024. The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning with waiter Phashant (India) and loved the convenient location close to major attractions. Natalia Dvortsova, Doug Cooper.

Great Property with wonderful views! Makoto Japanese Restaurant was excellent! Also the Bar in Gessner had excellent Bartenders! The Lobby had Milk and Cookies/Donuts around 5pm and had some Live Music Friday and Saturday nights! The Shuttle service provided by Gran Hyatt took us to several villages where we could try new things!

My wife and I just returned from a five-night stay at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. The accommodations were fantastic! With the hotel's spa, ski shops, ski lift, movie theater, and convenient shuttle bus, the trip was incredible! We will be back...with friends!
