Fairmont Vancouver Airport

After a long international flight over 9 time zones this hotel felt great. It is so easy to get to, very short indoor walking distance, once we were out of the baggage hall. We had a bite to eat and a couple of drinks, in the hotel’s bar lounge. Very good and friendly service there. The bedroom was very large, and overlooking the airfield. Very comfy beds, good soundproofing; we did not hear the aircraft noise. A well equipped gym as well. Not a cheap place, but well worth it after such a long trip.

Very relaxing way to smoothly begin a trip. Room was clean. Staff was professional. Gold room with lounge for evening appetizers and beverages just down the hall. Breakfast done well and in the same lounge. Room was quiet and it was enjoyable watching the planes through the large telescope in the room. So nice to just step out of theorem and be in the airport in a 5 min walk.

The mattresses are superior and the hotel's cleanliness is excellent. The hostesses for the restaurant, in my opinion, need to be more personable and they require further training in many aspects. The wait staff are professional and personable. I would call the rooms and the stay with the exception of the hostesses at the restaurant " refreshing ".

we used points to stay here, its so so expensive we would never pay the prices they charge so with that i mind, the location is unreal right on top of the usa check in area, still needed more signs in a busy airport, but we had to ask people for directions. the hotel is perfect, modern, stylish, luxurious we love our 2 nights there, oveerlooking the runway so much fun and interesting. this is the kind of hotel you could just stay and forget the world. we did not eat here because of cost but there are several places you can eat 2 minutes walk in the airport , and this must be the only airport in the world where the prices are just the same as in a town so no overpricing, try PAJOS for the red salmon fish tacos and the cafes for cakes and coffee etc, plenty there without worrying wish we had of known this before we went.

Our flight was re-routed to YVR where we had to make an unscheduled overnight stay. After much searching, connecting with the wrong Fairmont location, the Fairmont Vancouver Airport staff were able to provide us a room and much appreciated rest.
