Fairmont Vancouver Airport

We stayed here for a few days for business meetings in Vancouver, it was convenient to stay at the airport. Yes, the rooms are pretty sound proof, and beds comfortable, however the frequent interruption of the waiters in the restaurant and bar pushing more drinks on us was irritating. The restaurant and bar were not clean either, greasy food stains on one of the chairs and nut crumbs in the seat were not appetizing. The venue is pretty average for the caliber of the hotel and location at best with prices reflecting its convenient location.

The room was spacious and clean , check in was quick and easy, the staff were friendly and helpful and the bed was very comfortable. After a long day of traveling my husband and I needed sleep before our connecting flight. We really enjoyed watching planes take off and land from our window.

It doesn’t get any better than this! Fabulous property. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Unrivalled vistas and viewpoints. Built-in convenience for weary or soon-to-be-on-our-way travellers. All the amenities that you might want. Rock solid value.

I was very disappointed that unscented toiletries were unavailable during my stay. The request was in my profile and it took three inquiries after check in to learn they were not available. In the end the offer was made to send an associate out to purchase items at the airport pharmacy. I was not able to accept this offer not knowing what products would be available for purchase. Disappointment and frustration could have been avoided with the information at check in and has lowered my satisfaction.

We have stayed here in the past for 1-night stays but this year we stayed for two nights at the end of September and three nights at the end of October, at both ends of a trip to Japan. It was extremely convenient for us to stay there. Our plane from Ontario arrived in Vancouver at 12:15 a.m. and it was after 1:00 a.m. by the time we got our luggage. It was wonderful to have a hotel located at the airport. On our return from Japan, our flight arrived at 11:20 a.m. (after a long overnight flight) and we were generously allowed to check into our room right away at no extra charge. The room was clean and comfortable and the service fast and efficient.
