You should come.
They work very hard. They deserve your visit. The beach is great, the people are so nice. If you re coming from abroad you should meet Cuban people. We were upgraded to level and we should give a huge thank you to Vladimir. From the first day he was great.

Best beach in Varadero
The beach is most beautiful I have ever seen. The management and staff do and awesome job. Of course there are limited resources in cuba but if you stay in the level this impact is much less. Of all the hotels Melia Marina does have best beach and helpful staff!

Not so good resort
Horrible place. Would not come back. Horrible attitude. No live entertainment. This place sucks. Its across the street from the beach. Even though they have a cart that drives you there. The route is ugly, and its far from the site. Servers are not that attentive and there is literally 1 person that knows how to make more than 2 drinks. Its not a place i would visit again.

Not what it once was
We went Feb 25th. This was my 4th or 5th time here and the last time before that was back in 2018. We learned that the Pandemic shut this place down for 2 years and during that time, staff went on to find new jobs. There was only a staff of 75 while we were there. We did The Level service which may have helped a little. The food wasn't great, a lot of equipment was broken or malfunctioning but I know the staff there was trying their best. The elevators were working one day and not the next. The lobby bar had a broken compressor pumping the beer out of the keg, the beer was bad too lol. Our concierge Johanna was an angel and did her best. I would encourage her to work at a different resort where her efforts would be more appreciated by the guests. Its sad to say this but, this was our last time at this resort. I wish the staff all the best though! The company Melia needs to wake up and turn this around.

Was ok! But Im not coming back!
Basically the food was horrible, it's unfortunate to pay for something so bad and of terrible quality. On the other hand, the service of the employees was excellent, it was the only thing that made my experience pleasant (I would like to thank Lindurin who attended us and treated us in the sweetest and most attentive way)
