Paradisus Varadero Resort & Spa

Outside of flight delays, we arrived around dinner time - told to go for drinks to wait for bell service that took forever and would continue to take forever the duration of our trip. No guidance on this or anything about how dinner would work. (We were exhausted and decided not to eat anyways). Our room had the “pull out couch” set up but a bar across the back was not comfortable and soon understood that it was broken. The room was dated, the shower stall looked like it had not ever been properly cleaned, and the compartment with the mini fridge was wobbly. The pools were great, the food what was expected, and the beach was the best part.

Our family of four visited the resort from March 12 to the 19th. The beach is simply spectacular; white sand, shallow beach ideal for non-swimmers like me. Played tennis with Miguel every day and it was fantastic. He is an excellent player and he made my stay at the resort really fun and memorable. My son was also able to play volleyball at the beach almost every day and had a lot of fun doing that. The food is certainly not the best but it’s what it is. The lights did go out a few times, but it eventually came back.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Royal Service! From morning coffees, pool time, meals, beach, to special events such as the Tasting Dinner offered poolside & the multi-resort Canada Party held offsite - travelling solo has never been better!

Very nice place, very clean, very good service,nice night show, nice beach, but have no hot water in the rooms for take showers very nice and cleans pools, our cuban coordinatrice Driatne Jimenez Nodarse have a very good and professional service( the best). Our cleaning room May Broke have the best and professional service you can have . I recommand her.

We stayed at this hotel in January 2025, the worst experience ever, we have traveled all over the world but this is horrible. The food was a disaster, we were left hungry, my family and I lost 5kg in 9 days, so whoever wants to go on a paid diet should come to this hotel, the food is delicious, the quality is very poor, the quality is terrible. The pools are too cold to be cleaned, most of them were not even working, the hotel needs a complete renovation and does not even deserve a 2*...! The service is a disaster, the staff is very unfriendly and everyone expects a guy to do nothing for nothing, for frowning and rudeness, the only bright spot is the beach. The sea is very cold in January, so I would not recommend people who want to swim to not go to the island during that period, especially to this hotel. The cleanliness of the rooms is at a modest level, it is obvious that the rooms are worn out and ready for renovation, everything is broken, screws are falling out everywhere... a lot of things are unsafe to use, especially for children!
