On one side the placid waters of the lagoon, and on the other the mysterious alleyways of Venice, leading to two of the city’s most stunning modern museums, the Peggy Guggenheim and the new Punta della Dogana. A period palace with an elaborate Gothic façade, but when you step inside you find yourself projected into a future in which each item of the decor has been designed exclusively for your pleasure.

All round a great choice for the comfort, position and service of the staff. It was quiet and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Being out of season was also a joy. I 'd been to Venice before but it was my sister-in -law's first time and she loved it. Comfortable beds (top of my list) .This is the first hotel in Venice I'd be happy to return to. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel directly at the Canale grande, very nice rooms, very friendly stuff, very good breakfast, very close to a Vaporetto station (Salute), very nice neighbourhood with nice shops, restaurants and the great Guggenheim museum. With the Vaporetto it's only one station to San Marco.

As a boutique hotel, the rooms are individual and a little quirky in their layout, but once we got used to we it enjoyed the room. It was too warm, but after speaking to the reception staff they were able to adjust the heating. The bed was comfortable. The staff are fabulous. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Other food and drink that we had was very good, although we never ate an evening meal in the hotel. Its location is fantastic, right on the Grand Canal and our water taxi from the airport was able to drop us right at the hotel. Well situated for St. Marks Basilica and the main shopping areas. Overall it deserves its 5 star rating and we would definitely recommend it and would visit again.

The Sina is a smaller, artsy hotel located across the Grand Canal from the main tourist area. Breakfast was good and there is seating with great canal views. The rooms are a little odd - ours had a bathroom area and then a separate bathtub on the other side of the bedroom. The rooms have key slots that activate the lights. The slots have a row of blue lights which are very bright and flash which kept us from sleeping. We asked how to block the lights and first they put a piece of stiff plastic in the slot but that wasn't enough. Then they put black tape over the lights which worked well. So word to the wise, before you go to bed, turn off the lights and see if the key slot lights bother you and if they do, ask for the black tape.

This is a very nice hotel with a wonderful team to serve you. We had a nice room over seeing the grand canal. Could have used another chair with a back on it in the room. Breakfast was very good. Love the location a nice walk over the bridge at the grand canal. to the other side and Sam Marco Square.
