The room and facilities were very good. Very comfotrable stay. Beach and pool were great with plenty of lounge chairs, towels etc. The only real disapoointment wias the fitness center. It was terrbile. A couple machines adn a very small space. We ened up going to a local gym and paid the daily rate.

Lovely, Friendly Resort …. but …

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

Lovely resort and room. We stayed 3 nights in a pool view room, 4th floor mostly overlooks the AC units on the roof of The Wave restaurant and the tops of lovely palm trees obstructing the pool view. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you book an offer that includes a nightly resort credit, be sure to charge extras (onsite dining, room service and/or cocktails) to your room to get the credit nightly. Loud music from the pool area until 11pm.

Amazing staff

The staff here is amazing! They want you to have a wonderful time here and go out of their way. From pool staff to dining to beach staff to front desk and housekeeping. Food at the pool is delicious as are the cocktails. Rooms are very clean and beds super comfortable. I would definitely recommend this resort and would return

Disappointing Details

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Pros: Room upgrade to oceanfront king by Alexi Room itself and balcony, decor View, right on the beach Breakfast service at Wave Hot tub temperature Cuban food options on menu Free boogie boards, paddle boards, and kayaks for hotel guests If it were just that, it would have been 5 stars. Unfortunately, disappointing details outweighed the pros. Cons: Gross incense burning in lobby is overpowering, nauseating, and cheapens the vibe. No extra smells needed. Outlet only on one side of bed Cheap coffee in room with Coffee Mate creamer. For a hotel of this purported luxury, I would expect Nespresso, half and half, and some nice teas Dinner server at Wave bar was sullen and inattentive. There were dirty tables, and we asked her to wipe ours off because it was dirty. Plastic, disposable cups and to-go containers used seemed chintzy and wasteful. When I asked for a late check out (it’s not like I needed hours, just an extra 30 minutes), the front desk rep. said, “You should have asked earlier!” I let the manager Alexi know, and he apologized. I’ve never encountered that sort of shamey response, even at a a two star hotel. Jacuzzi bubbles didn’t work. Didn’t like how there was a sign in the room saying we could leave an electronic tip. I would have been more likely to leave a tip if such a tacky, gimme gimme sign weren’t there.
