Stayed here 23/10 to 24/10 -24. A fresh hotel by the beach. Nice staff at the reception. Helped with a small breakfast bag when I checked out in the middle of the night. Prons: Fast check-in and check-out. The guest is at the center of the staff. Pool. Close to the sea. Well-kept rooms. Large balcony. Bright and fresh room. Mini fridge. Seating options on the balcony. Larger grocery store 5 minutes' walk away. Cons: 40 km from Pisa Airport

We spent last two days of our Tuscany trip in this beautiful beach hotel. Its located almost on the nice Ligurian beach. The hotel itself is surrounded by nice gardens and is equipped with outdoor so as indoor swimming pool, SPA and fitness centre (included in the price). Rooms are very spacey with large balcony and are equipped with a modern an very comfortable furniture, large flat-screen TV, minibar so as with A/C. Breakfast buffet was perfect… variety of breads, pastries, pancakes, hams, salamis, fruit and vegetables…. Hotel has a rooftop restaurant/bar with a nice offer of dishes and drinks. Hotel staff was friendly. Can easily recommend this hotel to every demanding traveller who likes nice and comfortable accomodation.

Pros A fantastic hotel! The pool was great and very big. It was July/August and there was always plenty of space in and around the pool. They allowed the children to use inflatables too which was great. The breakfast was brilliant and varied. The room was clean. We had a family room and it was great for us and two children. Shower and bathroom great. Two large wardrobes too. We couldn't have asked for better. The beds were very comfy! Free bicycles (loads of them) were perfect for getting around. We also made use of the free Padel court. The rooftop bar was very nice. My parents ate there and had a fantastic experience with the Chef's Table. There is a full/detailed review of this under the restaurant: "Versilia Roof Bar & Restaurant by UNA cucina” but the TL;DR is that they loved it! ALL the staff we encountered throughout our stay were all friendly and polite. It was noticeable how great they were. The location is good - opposite the beach. But given the very very high taxi rates, you need a bike and/or public transport to travel around a bit. It was a nice 20 minute cycle to Viareggio. From there we got the train to Pisa. We also used the bus (very near the hotel) to get to Pietrasanta - but getting home late at night wasn't easy. We also hired the BIT scooters to get around once. Very easy and good value. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it. It really was one of the better hotels we saw in the area. Cons Unfortunately we were given a north facing room, which meant that our balcony was on the same side as a local outdoor music/entertainment venue. Every single night (for 8 nights) there was either live music or an outdoor cinema event, usually on until around midnight/1am. Whilst the doors blocked most of the sounds (and it didn't affect the children sleeping) it meant that once the children were asleep we couldn't make use of the balcony in the evening - which was less than ideal. The pool bar was a little expensive too. €2 for water felt a lot given the heat - and there were no water refill stations in the hotel. This was disappointing and not very sustainable either. The food they served was nice, but again, pricey. €10 for a cheese toastie and some crisps - and there was a €2 cover charge! We made use of a local supermarket which was walking distance away and saved a lot! The room had a fridge too which made that perfect. Overall We will 100% re-visit this hotel - although will request a room on the other side of the hotel. It really was fantastic and the staff and facilities were great.

My 11th visit & feels just as good every summer. This Hotel is immaculate with beautifully maintained gardens & excellent staff. The large pool is excellent for anybody like me who enjoys swimming laps but also for those who just like a refreshing dip. The breakfast is superb with every healthy option imaginable as well as freshly baked cakes & delicious omelettes to order. The panel court is an interesting addition to the tennis and cycling facilities!

We just came back from a great weekend at Versilia Lido. We enjoyed it a lot. We were upgraded to an apartment room (thank you!), with a living room and a separate bedroom, and a large balcony. All rooms were spacious, functional, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. In the room we especially appreciated the confortable mattress (we like mattresses that are not too soft and this was just perfect for us) and the fact that they made us find in the room two memory-foam pillows, which we had asked for when we made the reservation. We had the first dinner at the hotel restaurant on the roof terrace, with good food and a great view on the sea. The second night we ask Alessio at the reception for advice for a good restaurant nearby and he suggested Il Merlo, just a few steps from the hotel. Thanks Alessio for the suggestion! We went to Il Merlo and enjoyed a very special dinner with a wonderful view of the sea. We also spent time at the pools, both inside and outside. At breakfast there was a good selection, I especially enjoyed the local "marzapane di Pietrasanta". I would have hoped for even more of these local pies/sweets. To sum it up, a very pleasant stay thanks to the good hotel facilities and the good service provided by everyone working here, from the reception staff, to the restaurant/breakfast staff, to the cleaning staff. I am rarely positively impressed at hotels as I am very picky and for this reason I rarely write positive reviews, but this hotel really deserves a big thank you! Grazie e a presto!
