We have had to be in Victoria for a couple of surgeries over the last several months. During what was a stressful time, our stay at the Magnolia was like a refuge for us with its beautiful decor, incredible staff and clean and comfortable rooms. It made what was a difficult time for us much easier to get through.

There was nothing about this hotel I didn't love. The breakfast that was included with our stay was excellent, the front desk staff was outstanding, the housekeepers kept our room clean (and supplied with chocolate), the location couldn't be beat, and this might have been the best sleep I've ever had in a hotel. We stayed in a Diamond Harbour Side room, and my husband loved watching the sea planes come in and out. Our view was fantastic. Our entire trip to Victoria and Vancouver Island was nothing short of magical, and The Magnolia definitely helped to make it this way.

A fantastic hotel with top-notch staff, rooms, and services. I was really impressed with the massage in the spa; the food is great, the rooms were comfortable and well designed. There was no noise transfer in the rooms, the hot water is quick and plentiful, and there's lots of thoughtful perks like complimentary bikes for use. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Travelled for a business event. Very pretty hotel...BUT the homeless around the hotel make it unsafe at night. Parking will cost an additional $40. There is a parkade nearby...BUT you cannot retrieve your vehicle when closed - secured due to the homeless. First time I have ever had to provide payment when checking in, not out. The person checking us in was unfriendly and unhelpful. Not a hint of a smile expended. I have never had such a poor experience at a hotel. One star for being pretty and one star for Savanna Cannatella trying to make it right. At this time I am unable to recommend.
