Reviews for Grand Hotel Wien

Fantastic character

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Perfectly located hotel with exceptional charm and decadence. Food and room service were very good as was the piano bar downstairs. Room was a decent size with a comfy bed and pillows you sink into. Bathroom had underfloor heating and great toiletries/ towels. Shower was in a bath not walk in. Service was impeccable. A little over priced for what it was, but we had a very comfortable stay

I would like to thank Grand hotel team and especially Walid Marouf, Gentjan, Dimitar, Rafat, and all the other stuff their hospitality and support during my stay in the Grand Hotel in Vienna was great. I would definitely love to comeback at another vacation to stay there.

Wonderful service

Had a wonderful time in this hotel, the service is espectacular. Dimitar Kochoski was the best, he helped us with everything and was very kind! The breakfast is very unique and the suites are majestic. Would definitely go back to this hotel, especially because of the 10/10 service.

Just wow!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This was just the latest in so many visits to my “second home” and was, as always, magical. Firstly, many thanks to Stefan’s teams: reception and housekeeping. Particular recognition to Dimi, Thomas Awi and Samuel for all of the attention at reception, great people who work so hard and remain warm, professional and facilitate bookings for restaurants and other, miscellaneous, requests- top drawer! Housekeeping excellent! The sustainability policy of allowing guests to select when they wish for cleaning, towels etc, affords one the opportunity to make an informed choice with regard to needs but to consider environmental factors. Thanks to Lenka and collegues for the attention given. Food and beverages wonderful: Bravo Rai!! Breakfast team enthusiastic, great array of hot and cold dishes and very well run; In house evening dining, on incredible 7th floor is exemplary!! The epitome of fine dining: thanks so much to Martin and his team- a night to treasure; The “Rosengarten” lobby bar offers a blend of amazing cakes and drinks, all presented with a smile and in beautiful surroundings. Also my daughter and I enjoyed afternoon tea here (quintessentially English, but with a unique flair!), simply divine. This hotel is extremely well led and management value all guests, a fact evidenced by the lovely event, hosted by the GM, a “cocktail reception” during which it was great to meet other, international guests, who were visiting for business or leisure. Such a tasteful and warm environment to also say “thanks!” to Senior leaders and enjoy conversation. Oliver (GM) Rai, Jo and Stefan all in attendance which was lovely. We headed, from the event, to the State opera house, for a production of ballet and it was lovely to return to such a warm reception from Michael (who was most attentive) and collegues, to enjoy post performance cakes and coffee (whilst chatting to other opera/ballet attendees) Really nice to also sit, during afternoon, in leisure gear to relax in the beautiful bar, such a dedicated team. Although I’m an English specialist, so love Shakespeare, Kafka, Brecht etc, I adore classical music, so the location of “The Grand” is ideal for all things cultural/historical- amazing concierge Walid secured tickets for ballet and other events, a great guy! For me, it’s the people who make this hotel so special- as such a regular guest I have a preference for first name terms and favour respect but with informality; the great people here “read” guests very well and will engage accordingly. Although I’ve just arrived back in England, I’m already planning another return to my “home” in Vienna. Thanks so much to all. We loved every minute…

Fabulous hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

A fabulous hotel in a great location, beautiful bedrooms, a nice foyer " bar" serving food (unfortunately the 2 other restaurants were closed for our 3 night visit, so cannot comment) an excellent breakfast. Close to the State Opera House, highly recommend.
