Hilton Vienna Plaza

This is a clean hotel that leaves a lot to be desired. I am giving it a 3/5 because the hotel WAS clean and it is in a good location. I am not giving it a 4 or more because of the issues with bedding, pillows, bathroom design, and towels. If I could give it a 3.5 I would because they at least made an effort to acknowledge my birthday and had a nice small Vienna chocolate cake waiting for me when I arrived. I have Hilton Honors Gold Status. That meant NOTHING at the Hilton Vienna Plaza. There are many reviews that mention stiff or firm beds and bedding. Believe them. The beds are not comfortable. At all. The pillows are mush flat. I asked for foam pillows and got more uncomfortable pillows. Between the uncomfortable mattress and the bad pillows, I did not get a good night’s sleep any of the 4 nights. I asked for a mattress topper. If they did indeed put one, it made no difference or positive impact. The bathrooms are clean and aesthetically pleasing, but entirely non-functional. The “shower” is a small bath tub that requires you to VERY CAREFULLY get into and out of or else you can fall. I am young and athletic. I did not enjoy the entry/exit process from the tub. The attached photos were taken with wide angle lens. The lighting in the bathroom is dire. The light right above the sink makes it impossible for a man to shave or trim with a buzzer. The light casts shadows on your face that makes it impossible to see lines and shave carefully. I was particularly annoyed that I asked for soft towels and extra towels. They did not deliver extra towels despite my request via the app. They do not carry soft towels at this hotel. Overall, I am giving a 3/5 because the hotel was clean.

As a Hilton Diamond Member, special benefits are received that may not be for everyone, so I like to state that upfront. This hotel was an exceptional Hilton property. It is lovely. Great location on the Ringstrasse, adjacent to a Tram Stop & the Subway, and just a 10-15 minute walk to most of the major tourist destinations. Service was impeccable. Front desk staff were friendly & helpful when I checked in, made requests or inquiries. We were on the 9th floor, which obviously helped with the street noise. I loved that the windows opened!! The views!!! Having a Nespresso in the room was fantastic & we took full advantage of that. Having Executive Level privileges that somehow haven't made it back to most American Hilton properties post-covid was an added bonus. The AC only goes to a certain point & won't go lower based on the outside temperature. I realize this is typical in Europe, but did want to mention for those that may possibly book in the summer months. The hotel also arranged for a 4:30 am Taxi to the airport for me & when the 1st one cancelled at 4:31 am, they had another at the property within a few minutes. Fabulous hotel & I truly enjoyed my stay here!

Darlings! This was one of the best parts of my trip to Vienna. What a charming hotel! I absolutely enjoyed my dining experience with them. The restaurant staff- Mika and Celine were so pleasant and knowledgeable about their menu. Shout out to Chefs Ahmed and Okan. They scored 3/3 of the lunch dishes I ordered- pumpkin soup, burger and strudel. All so delicious! Great drinks too. And can l mention how nice and toasty their sauna spa is? Thank you everyone for making my Vienna trip so enjoyable. I can't wait to go back....

TL;DR: try to dine there, waited for more than one hour without getting anything, went back to our room without diner and the best part: nobody cared. So the last evening we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. We ordered, we waited, we talked, we waited and 45 minutes after ordering we were still waiting for our order. Might be an impression but it was impossible to attract the attention of the waitress to ask where was our order. After a while somebody you was probably from the kitchen came and told us that there has been as mix up and that we're going to be served in a couple of minutes. We waited but since we still we didn't have any food yet we decided that we have been waiting for too long, left the restaurant and went to the front desk to tell them that it was unacceptable not to have been served. Why the front desk? Well because, guess what, when we left the restaurant no waitress was anywhere to be seen. Now I understand that something could happen in the kitchen and that our command was lost. What I don't understand is why the waitress didn't realize sooner that we where we were still waiting. But that's not all because I would have thought that leaving a restaurant because you were not served after more than one hour was something serious. Apparently not in that hotel since the waitress didn't even see that we have left and the front desk did NOTHING. Nothing like, not even trying to get to the bottom of this, try to propose us at least a snack since it was already 22:15 and the next day, no excuse when checking out, not even asking us if everything was OK. Funny thing while most hotel are very eager to send you feedback email after checking out I didn't have any this time.

We loved the decor, the staff was outstanding friendly, the breakfast was exceptional good, even the one dinner we had . The rooms were clean, the bathroom was great .hotel services were exceptional. Walking distance to everything . It was a warm friendly hotel
