Reviews for Hotel Sans Souci Vienna

A Perfect Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

A perfect stay. Room, staff, breakfast, restaurant, location all were a dream. We’ve traveled a bit and the Sans Souci made this stay effortless. They go above and beyond. Breakfast variety and quality would suit any taste. All day coffee service satisfied our taste for lattes.

Location, location, location

For anyone visiting Vienna, the Hotel Sans Souci is in the perfect location – close to all the major sites, but sufficiently remote to be peaceful. On check-in we were met with a glass of champagne and a detailed explanation of the hotel's ameneties. Our room, on the third floor, was spacious with contemporary decor and Lichtenstein prints, originals of which are dotted around the hotel reception. Right opposite the hotel is the Museum Quartier, hosting some of the finest galleries and exhibitions in Europe, while the Grand Cafés, monumental buildings and palaces are a short walk away. The hotel is home to one of Vienna's leading restaurants, but with a huge number of cafés, retaurants and bars within minutes we were spoilt for choice. Breakfast, however, was superb with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes and a complimentary glass of Champagne. Breakfast staff were uniformly charming, friendly and spoke enviable English. My only slight negative comment is a lack of original features for such a beautiful building.

Wonderful birthday treat

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

My mother & I stayed in the Sans Souci Wien for her 75th birthday in November. We had a wonderfully luxurious experience from the moment we entered the hotel, greeted with warm towels for our hands and a hot drink. The staff in all areas of the hotel were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for us, including surprising my mother with a beautiful chocolate treat and birthday card on the morning of her birthday. That was such a personal touch that she was absolutely delighted with. Our room was nothing short of perfect, including bespoke artwork and a pillow menu!! We would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful hotel in a great location.

Incredible experience at Sans Souci

Excellent and fresh food at the restaurant here, and it is a very clean place overall! The location is absolutely perfect in walking distance from the museums. The hotel staff was very friendly, and helped welcome all of us in upon our arrival. They were always available for any help needed. The front desk gave clear recommendations for other services and places to go to. You must try the cappuccino! Would definitely return.

Fabulous first stay in Vienna

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Just a wonderful hotel. Our first time in Vienna and don’t think we could have chosen a better hotel. Positioned on the edge of the Museum Quarter and Neubau, it was perfect for us as we like to walk everywhere. Room was great - Luxury Extended. Particular shoutout for the loo with the heated seat and extras! We were on the first floor facing inside with a balcony which was too cold to make the most of. The room was very quiet and meant for a good nights sleep. The spa was great if not a little crowded. The Verdana restaurant which served breakfast and dinner was well appointed and the staff were excellent. Special mention to Mina for his care and attention but all the staff on hand were great. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and that was great too. Shitzel, of course, but the rest of the food was also a treat. The staff at reception were also very helpful. Thanks to Peter the concierge for his coffee house recommendations and getting us tickets to St Peter’s. We loved Vienna and this hotel. We will be back
