When you head to Meliá Vienna’s 57 Restaurant for a cocktail, you’ll be drinking at the highest point in Austria. On weekends, a DJ livens up the scene, and during the week, guests are in prime position to close the deal in the Danube City Business District – the hotel is near the Austria Center and the United Nations, and after work, the recreation options of Danube Island await. Vienna’s panoramic cityscape is the standout design detail here, and walls of windows fill each guestroom with abundant light.

I read a lot of reviews both good and bad before arriving but I always keep an open mind on these. On arrival the check-in process was straight-forward and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I stayed in The Level Premium Room. Yeah there are a few SMALL knocks on the edges of walls and things but in general the room was incredible, and house keeping were brilliant. Exceptionally spacious, with a great view of the Danube, but as mentioned in other reviews, quite a lot of construction work nearby but I didn't notice a lot of noise. The 57 Restaurant had a good selection of food available for breakfast (didn't go there for dinner during my stay) Honestly unless you're actively looking for things to moan about or have unrealistic expectations, this hotel is superb and when I come back to Vienna I'll be staying at Meliá again. Thanks to all the helpful staff! Really great service

Impressive building, gorgeous view over the river, although we had a lovely river facing view I can understand some reviews on here about construction as there is a building under construction next to the hotel and it would not be great to have that as a view and we did hear some banging and hammering on our last day but can only comment on the room/view we had which was great. Location wise it is a very industrial area however; a few underground stops to the main square was never an issue and we preferred to stay slightly out of the centre, the vibe of the hotel is very business focused - lots of conference/meetings. We had a drink on the 57th floor, the view was spectacular but we did not dine there so cannot comment. The breakfast was suffice to start the day. We had an issue with the bedside controls not working and although the issue was not fixed, staff were in the room attempting to do so, also a lovely cake left for us wishing a happy birthday which was appreciated. All staff we came into contact with were polite.

The location of the Hotel is very isolated and far from center or other entertainment areas. The room I stayed in had a beautiful view, it was relatively clean, I did wash the tub myself before using it. The only restaurant that Melia has is the 57, which sucks bad because you will be disappointed rather quickly by the service and prices of this restaurant. And you will most certainly want to go to a different place. Would be nice to have another alternative to 57 in the hotel or close by. I was mostly in business meetings and didn't spend much time here, however I had a great time interacting with the associates working at receptions. I would like to personally thank Atilla and Veronica for making my stay so pleasant and amazing. They went above and beyond to help me and make me feel at home. The only reason I might consider returning to this placd next year is if they are still working at Melia. I will be asking for them before I make the booking for sure. Thank you both <3

This hotel is terrible. Like lipstick on a pig, it looks pretty on the surface, but is an awful place to stay. The staff is rude and unhelpful, the lounge and restaurant are extremely overpriced and the food is terrible, which I guess is understandable, given that there are so few options for food or entertainment in the area. The room is noisy, you can literally hear the building creaking and groaning in the wind, and the cracks in the drywall indicate that the construction of this building is suspect, at best. The bed and pillows are uncomfortable, which is the worst of it all, because the only reason to stay here is a good nights sleep before a meeting. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. If you really feel the need, burn your money in a dumpster, because that would do you more good than giving this place your business.
