Great hotel..reception staff shockingly slow. Computer systems slow. Staff don't even engage with you for ten mins whilst tappin

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

Excellent hotel in every way.. Apart from reception staff who are beyond slow. 35 mins check in. No reason. No dialogue.. Just staring at computer screen Then next day had to re authorise a credit card. This took 15 mins. Quite unpleasant lady. It almost seems like they were trying to be slow on purpose. I watched other people have same experience. I had to change my room due to a gang of lads partying next door. Security visited then twice.. They asked me to wait at pool area until new room was ready and they would call me... 4 hours later this never happened... They forgot... I knew they would!! Back to reception again with my suitcase for another 20 min experience. It honestly is a joke how unprofessional reception staff are .. The luggage guys are way too over eager. Interrupting you at reception etc. At one stage shouting at me across entrance to lock my bike. Didn't check in to five star to be shouted at. The whole lobby experience leaves a really sour taste which is why I must leave this review

Amazing food at Peppers steakhouse 😍

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We went to Peppers for my birthday dinner and Antonio provided us with fantastic service and great recommendations on the menu. A meal to remember! They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and a birthday cake also. When we come back to Vilamoura we'll definitely visit again

Our favourite hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Great nights sleep, comfortable beds, dark room? amazing service /staff from the minute we walked in the door, reception, bar, Perpers restaurant, dining room, room service, breakfast was delicious catering for all needs. It’s a beautiful true 5 star hotel, best location in the marina and at the back beautiful beach with Puro Beach dining which is run by Tivoli and is excellent. It’s our 6 th visit and we can’t wait to return end of year. Leisure centre opened at 9.00 a little earlier would be nice to swim before breakfast, perhaps in high season this happens. Lots of staff in reception area which was great as it was quick

Nice Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Weve just returned from a 3 nights stay at the Tivoli . I would have preferred Trip Advisor to have been able to score Good , rather than Very Good , or Average , because that is where I feel our experience sits . We arrived to a lovely welcome , very swift and was explained everything we needed to know . Our room was 341 , overlooking the Marina and was beautiful, really tasteful decor , minimal but not clinical , with good quality bedding , comfortable bed,and pillows , there is a pillow menu, and well facilitated storage . There was ample space , well stocked fridge and a safe . My gripe in Hotels are Nespresso machines , im at an age where a kettle is much preferable for a simple cup of tea. Our machine was very noisy , and leaked everywhere , didn't produce coffee from the pod so I gave up . I did highlight this problem but not until checking out as I'm not a fan of pod coffee , but im sure , had I highlighted it earlier , it would have been replaced . Air con was stuck on 22, wouldn't go higher or lower , again , not an issue as unfortunately, the weather was dreadful whilst we were there , gale force winds and heavy rain , so we didn't need it , but I mentioned it upon check out for maintenance to address for the next guests . On the first night , I opened a small bottle of wine from the mini bar , but only drank half , so I put back the remainder for the following evening ,. The reception staff tried to charge us for 2 bottles , this got slightly heated as we don't try to " get away " with not paying for goods we've had , but thats how we were made to feel , so be mindful ! The bathroom was really spacious , plenty of room , with nice robes , slippers and good quality towels , hand wash , shampoo , conditioner and body lotion , all of which were really nice . Great inclusion of a hairdryer too ! The bathroom ( in my opinion) , needed a deep clean , grouting discoloured , mould in the shower tray , tiles and mirror need a really good scrub . Tap on the sink needed tightening up as was loose . These are issues that should be addressed in a 5 star Hotel immediately. We didn't eat in the Restaurants , preferring to venture out , but we had the Buffet Breakfast . The hospitality shown in this area is fantastic , and everything you should expect in a 5 star hotel , it was great , with so much food and choice , the fruits and the omelettes were our best choice . Really good service , Thank you . The whole public areas and facilities are beautiful, kept exceptional with literally everything you could want , a lovely , calm atmosphere throughout the Hotel , not to mention the Concierge guys outside who did an excellent job looking after us all with the weather being dreadful , always at hand with umbrellas . Sadly we couldn't make use of the outside areas due to the weather , but we did have a walk around when the rain stopped , and I can imagine how beautiful this is in the coming months . To summarise ....beautiful Hotel , obviously the Location is spot on , few niggles , but many positives .
