On the southern coast of Portugal, in the Algarve region just outside Faro, Vilamoura is one of the countryâ€(TM)s most beloved resort towns. Anchoring this seaside playground is the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura. Casual beach resort elegance defines the style at this lovely property, where the emphasis is on total relaxation. When youâ€(TM)re not splashing in the sea or playing tennis, laze in one of three pools or melt your cares away in the Turkish sauna. An array of excellent resort dining venues includes Sirius, overlooking the marina.

This was our first visit to Portugal and had been recommended the Tivoli Marina and it didn’t disappoint. Situated perfectly on the marina with some rooms overlooking the beach to the left of the marina. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were roomy and comfortable and well equipped with a lovely balcony. The reception is huge with loads of comfy sofas which was great as our weather wasn’t the kindest. There is a coffee bar in the reception serving coffees and sweet treats. There is also a cocktail bar and restaurant. The spa houses an indoor heated pool and gym. The breakfasts were amazing. Good service of teas and coffees and juice when seated and lots of variety of cooked and continental breakfasts, The hotel is within walking distance of lots of lovely restaurants and shops. There is a good sized swimming pool and a bar and pool side restaurant with lots of loungers, also a children’s pool. Vilamoura is relatively quiet and not too far from airport. We would definitely return to this hotel in the future

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of October with our 21 month old toddler. The hotel is in a great location at the edge of the Marina and is a beautiful spot to stay. We booked a room overlooking the beach and pool. We had no issues with noise or anything, but I suppose it was very off season. We loved the breakfast and the indoor pool (it was too cold to swim outside). I had contacted the hotel prior to ask for a cot in the room for when we eventually go checked in so our daughter could have a nap after a long day. however when we arrived to the room, there was no cot. I had to ask twice for it to be brought up. Also the seats on the balcony were so uncomfortable, so we couldn't even spend a lot of time sitting down outside - made me think it was intentional to encourage people to go down to the pool or bar? Apart from this, the hotel was lovely and great for kids, but definitely not geared towards them which we liked also. So close to the beach and restaurants.

I have been lucky to travel a lot and enjoy the use of spas and their massages but this experience was the best and thanks to the staff of Fabio, Tamara, Vanessa and my masseuse Wyan. The facilities are fantastic and the ambience is spot on to allow a visitor to totally relax.
