Melia Las Dunas

We recently stayed at MELIÁ Las Dunas as a family (2 adults, 3 kids) in two rooms, and unfortunately, the experience was below expectations. The resort is very old and in serious need of maintenance. Many things need fixing, and basic amenities were missing. Rooms & Amenities • No hairdryers in the rooms. I asked for one daily, but they always said they didn’t have any available. • The fridge was empty—not even basic refreshments inside. • You only get one bottle of water per room per day, which is far from enough, especially for families. Food & Drinks • The food was very repetitive and poor in quality. We ended up eating pasta every day because it was the safest option. • If you enjoy sparkling water, don’t expect to find any here. • Coffee is only available at the lobby bar—not at the restaurants, beach, or any other bars. Internet • Extremely limited! Wi-Fi only works in the lobby and pool area. No internet in the rooms, on the beach, or in other areas of the resort. Beach • The beach itself is beautiful, but the experience was disappointing. If you like this area, I highly suggest booking a different resort. Overall, I wasn’t expecting luxury, but basic services like hairdryers, proper food variety, drink availability, and internet access should be standard. I do not recommend this resort.

I had a great vacation here at Melia Las Dunas. Our friends, Yailyn and Zory, made my friend's daughter's 13th birthday super special. The beach is breathtaking, the staff are all so amazing and friendly! The entertainment team is so talented, and the games kept us intrigued. Wr could not have asked for a more amazing vacation. Will most definitely be back!

Came back with my family from Melia last week. We loved the beach, it was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, grounds of the hotel were maintained and amazing, staff was wonderful, shout out to Chocolate and her counterpart, they were amazing! Pool was great, always clean. Food was as per Cubans standards, salt and pepper are most of the spices you are going to get, so bring your own if needed. There was a lot of variety though, was impressed, we had lobster 3x while we were there! We were placed in block 11, the hotel room was far and run down and there were ants everywhere, even on our bed... Not just ants, saw other small bugs on the bed too. Have pictures. Told the reception about it, but they said they will get the maid to clean it up, but even after 7 days, they were still there... Had a tough time sleeping at night knowing this, would clean everything from the bed, sprayed with off spray around, then lay down to sleep. Was kinda gross. I should have been more persistent and asked for a transfer but I didn't unfortunately... Lesson learned for next time if we come back...

GREAT EXPERIENCE! Our second visit at the Melia Las Dunas and it was great. Two weeks before Xmas as a couple. We loved the whole experience. The staff are always friendly, kind, professional. The property is well maintained and cared for. Live music and shows in the lobby and at the theatre The food is really good and nothing is missing. Plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, chicken, beef, pork and langoustes at the menu restaurants and even at the beach for lunch! Pools are great: the calm one for reading and the friendly one with music. Beach is awesome: they say more chairs are coming with new palapas. We will definitely come back again!

Was perfect vacation .. Being by the family pool was awesome.. The entertainment girls are great.. "Chocolate"..was amazing and a lot of gun.. The people by the lobby bar they are very good.. I think I come back hear 🤩🤩😘🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
