Globalists beware. You are treated like dirt here. I was actually treated better as a non status person than I am with status in terms of upgrades off season. With marriott I have no status and the upgrades are lovely. In Waikoloa I was put in the largest suite and I was a nobody. With Hyatt the upgrades are nice elsewhere but not here. There is too much competition so you are truly just a burden to this hotel. Please look at the upgrade I was given in the image attached, truly a prison cell. The white background in this picture attached is not a jail cell, but it would be hard to know the difference when entering your room. They say they are sold out, but I know they are not. Perhaps just understaffed which was clearly evident by the hour wait for my one breakfast omelet which for me was free but the bill totaling 121 dollars with an added gratuity that if i was paying for I would have had to fight the charge. I rarely get time to myself working full time with three kids and just wanted a few days away to treat my mother who also works and helps me with my kids and has spent her whole life taking me to Maui and other islands. Management tried to accommodate day 2 offering an accessible room, which in this hotel is really not a good bathroom situation with the slippery floors water everywhere etc. They already have severely claustrophobic bathrooms so having an even worse bathroom I believe would only create additional disappointment. It was my choice to be here, and I did sacrifice every point I had being here and it truly was very below my even low expectations. I knew I would have a small room , but it would be better to have no view with a garden view than to be looking at a white wall. Ventana in Big Sur was a far better use of my points. One shout out would be to the server Nick at breakfast had such a positive attitude and a desire to go above and beyond with attentiveness , this is what hospitality is. Perhaps he should be in management and change this hotel around. I am a loyal hawaii traveler. I am still deeply connected with the concierge at the hilton waikoloa and mauna kea I grew up with coming to hawaii for decades, treating staff well, celebrating birthdays and memories and being a loyal respectful tourist to Hawaii. Hyatt Andaz is stuffy and it’s evident in their check in people , it’s not warm with their “ do not walk on our sand”. Don’t put sand in your lobby if you don’t want it walked on. You have these cute chairs and yet no one can sit on them. Put a flower arrangement or a fountain, your lobby is as uninviting and unaccommodating as your front desk staff.

Beautiful ocean, great views, and the best service. It was a wonderful experience. Wailea was a great place for shopping and activities. The restaurant's breakfast and dinner were also great. Andaz was the best hotel. Thank you very much.

We were greeted at the stunning Andaz Maui at Wailea resort by the view of whales spouting in the Kealaikahiki Channel. Perched above Mōkapu Beach, Andaz offers guests breathtaking views of the sea and neighboring Hawaiian islands of Kaho’olawe and Lānaʻi from the lobby, on private balconies, or relaxing poolside by the infinity pools. The resort features 5 pools total, including an adults-only pool, and an area on the beach reserved for guests to lounge under umbrellas. What made Andaz unforgettable was the Feast at Mōkapu Lūʻau dinner experience. A cultural and culinary experience, a sumptuous dinner and specialty cocktails were served while we listened to the band playing singing and playing ukuleles and heard oral traditions of Hawaiian history were shared. We were entranced by the incredibly skilled hula dancers. The rhythmic swaying and fluidity of the dancers’ movements combined with fiery acrobatics made an indelible impression. Polynesians arrived to Hawaii about 1,000 years ago via outrigger canoes and taking a guided tour on the waters in one of Andaz’ canoes was important to experience that also provided wonderful views of the sunrise over Maui’s massive Haleakalā volcano. Every morning while at Andaz, take advantage of the sensational snorkeling at a rocky reef near the hotel that is teeming with colorful fish and even sea turtles! We indulged in the bountiful buffet breakfasts at Ka’ana kitchen—especially liking the omelet bar and Nutella-filled pastries. Our room in the Makai tower was modern, filled with natural lighting, and ample closet space. We watched the sunset from our balcony while sipping champagne.

We visited today to enjoy a late lunch at Morimoto's. Before arriving, we called Andaz to check if we could snorkel at nearby Ulua Beach and then grab food afterward. They assured us it would be fine, directing us to valet park and have the ticket validated at Morimoto's. However, when we arrived, we found out Morimoto's was closed due to refrigeration issues. With two young kids, I decided to grab refreshments next door to Morimotos while my husband went to find an alternative place to eat and have our valet ticket validated. I ordered three smoothies—one for myself and two for my children—and we sat near the pool, waiting for my husband to return with food. During this time, I was questioned about being there. I explained the situation and was then asked to leave. At that point, I had just spent $50 on smoothies, while my husband was spending over $100 on food. If your resort is closed to outside guests, I could understand why we were treated this way, but we were specifically invited and encouraged to use your valet service to access the beach and enjoy the food offerings. To be treated in such a manner is completely unacceptable. We frequent Hyatt accommodations often while traveling, and this year we had decided to stay with family while on the island. I am extremely disappointed in how my family was treated while visiting a Hyatt location. The following day, we had planned to return to visit friends attending the SAP event. It's sad to say, but we now do not want to return and will definitely be questioning our future stays at Hyatt affiliations.- The Schmuckles

Beautiful resort! Quick trip to see family (local) Brunch was amazing tons of choices and every day was so fresh All of the staff was awesome, front desk was easy to check in, beds were very comfortable and housekeeping was so kind. The parking is only valet, gets busy but the staff is quick. There is a small gym that gets busy but evenings were empty, not a lot of equipment choices but they do have treadmills, elliptical and a few pelotons. Arm machines mostly and a few free weight areas. A few not so amazing things but would not stop me from returning!
