Great Getaway in Litchfield Hills

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We had a wonderful stay. NOTE: This is a review of the Inn only, the dining venues I will review separately. Re: The Inn-the staff was super nice, the facilities tip top and our rooms were spectacular. Every part of this place is well thought out with guest comfort in mind. The Spa was great, on site walking trails are a must and the pool and tennis court were great as well. The grounds are meticulously maintained. We cannot wait to return.

Dream Autumn Getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I went to the Mayflower Inn & Spa on a fall getaway with my best friend and we had the most magical stay. The picturesque landscape and cozy feel of the Mayflower created an unforgettable weekend. It felt straight like a scene out of Gilmore Girls. The service, food, and spa were exceptional. I particularly recommend room service to experience the coziness of the Mayflower during autumn.

Beautiful getaway weekend

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

My husband and I spent a gorgeous weekend at the Mayflower Inn. Inn: the staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was spacious and came with lots of local treats that were regularly restocked. The soaps and shampoos all smelled delicious. Food: the Garden Room brunch is incredible. The egg sandwich comes with thick cut bacon, and the country breakfast is hearty. The room itself is also beautiful. We had one dinner in the Tap Room, and the burgers are well-cooked and flavorful. Excellent choice of mocktails and cocktails. Pool: The loungers could stand to be upgraded. The pool food menu is extremely limited - you might expect poolside items like tacos or flatbreads, but instead the two main dishes are hamburgers and falafel burgers (which is tasty, but massive and messy). The menu pricing is also all over the place - the crab cake appetizer is $26 but a chicken Caesar salad is $37. The pool staff seems to be mostly recent high school grads. They're all friendly and want to help, but it creates a clubhouse vibe (even with the background music, guests can hear clear chatter while the staff makes drinks). Spa: no sauna or cold plunge, but overall gorgeous facilities. I loved how as a guest you can just drop in at any point and enjoy. Excellent massage.

Service beyond compare!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Our stay at the Mayflower Inn was absolutely phenomenal. The service was beyond compare. The entire staff was incredibly attentive and caring -- they seemed to take great pleasure in attending to our needs, which is rare. The decor was gorgeous, the spa was magnificent, and the gym offered so many classes! You immediately konw that have come to a very special place, and it is hard to leave. We loved it!!

Great place to unwind!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We live locally so we went for drinks and appetizers mid-week. It was our first time going. We were a group of five. Owen, our bartender, made exceptional drinks and the ambiance was great. Overall, a wonderful evening which was both a fun and relaxing time!!

“The Mayflower Inn and Spa was luxuriously kept and meticulously clean. We had an all-inclusive two night stay. The food was excellent as was our spa experience. Can't say enough nice things about the employees especially Travis and Timmy and Matt, our hiking guide. Excellent all around experience. Can't wait to return!”
