Review: I previously had a challenging experience during my stay at Conrad Washington DC, which I would like to update to reflect the hotel’s follow-up and resolution. Original Experience: During my stay, I encountered a distressing incident involving my pet cat. The hotel lacks a physical "Do Not Disturb" placard and instead uses an electronic button, which I mistakenly forgot to activate before leaving the room. Housekeeping entered while my cat was in the room, and the staff member, startled by his presence, reportedly threw a bedsheet on him out of fear and left the room disorganized. When I returned, I found my cat struggling to free himself from the bedsheet, visibly distressed, and the room in complete disarray. To make matters worse, no one contacted me to inform me of the incident, even though the hotel had my contact details. This lack of communication was deeply disappointing and overshadowed the positives of the stay, such as the comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast service. Hotel's Follow-Up: Following my review, I was contacted by the hotel’s management, who explained the situation in detail and assured me that steps are being taken to prevent such incidents in the future. They are introducing physical "Pet In Room" signs to ensure staff are aware of pets, which is a welcome improvement. The management also offered a heartfelt apology and credited 15,000 Hilton Honors points as a gesture of goodwill. Their response, combined with their commitment to improving procedures, has partially restored my confidence in their service. Overall Impression: The hotel is well-maintained, the rooms are comfortable (though slightly small for the price), and the breakfast service was excellent. While the initial incident was highly distressing, I appreciate the hotel’s efforts to address the issue and their proactive measures for improvement. I would recommend the Conrad Washington DC for its quality service and amenities, but pet owners should take extra care to communicate with staff until the updated procedures are fully in place.

First time staying with the Conrad Washington. Beautiful Hotel! Staff beyond polite and accommodating. Loved the finishes in both the suite and ensuite. Shower was amazing. Great cocktail lounge and service. Look forward to returning.

My fiancé and I had the best time at Conrad Dc. Oscar did an Oscar nominated checking in. And Mohammed said he just started but did an excellent job with our luggage and asking how our stay was every time we run in to him. Giyermo ( not sure if I spell his name right) recognized us from previous stay and make sure we had an experience. My fiancé thinks we are famous but it was his genuine interest in hosting us. The doormen was excellent and very helpful. Can’t wait to come back.

We stayed just after Christmas, through new years, booked a “Sakura” double queen room for our family of 4. The lounge makes this place a 5 out of 5 in my opinion. Daily breakfast and dinner in the lounge, and snacks available at all other hours of the day Daryl the host was welcoming and informative of what was going on, I’m pretty prepared for where ever we go, so he said I made his job easy. Marlon in the club was clutch with drinks when needed, even offering a whiskey/ bourbon tasting or remembering my beer preference It was nice to walk in there after a day of exploring the city and be welcomed by both of these guys and offering drinks or help planning our next days adventures. The breakfast was the same each day with enough variety that one could essentially go a week with out having the same breakfast, however the French toast is the star of the show here. Dinners varied each night, and we got a special menu on New Years Eve, lobster and braised short rib. As the menu’s did change daily for dinner it was a great variety and honestly a wonderful value proposition when staying in DC. We ate out for lunch each day, and averaged $175/ day on just lunch, places like la grande boucherie dc, old ebbitt grill, Clyde’s in Georgetown( didn’t know that it was old ebbitt sister restaurant) the American Indian museum cafe (yea still expensive there) , matchbox, and city tap house The room was great, bath products were top tier, Mojave Ghost shampoo, conditioners, body wash, and moisturizer. While the shower is large the small rain head makes most of the space wasted water falls in about 1 square foot of the shower’s footprint. The bathrobes were the best I’ve experienced at a hotel. Housekeeping was done daily, and they were knocking on the door by 8:30-9 am to clean. We had turndown service 3 of the 5 nights we were there, I think I messed up and pressed the do not disturb button on the other nights. If I could offer feedback, clearing the hallways should be done more frequently than it was. We’re not ones to put out glass and bottles and plates from room service or lounge visits, I just leave them in the room u see the tv and houses keeping clears then. many times we observed piles outside of the doors, and some were there for hours, example saw stuff at 3 pm when we got back, was still there at 6 pm when we left for dinner and still there at 9 pm when we retired for the night. Maybe sweep the floor 1x per hour?! We had drinks in estuary and Cory is a master of his craft. Go see him for some banging drinks The hotel location is great, 20 min walk to most of what we visited
