The Price Advertised Does Not Reflect What You Will Pay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The Prices stated on their website do not include a lot of bogus charges. They charge $30 dollars a day, and give it back to you in a restaurant credit. You pay this whether you use it or not. I used it one time, then was charged a service fee for using it. Bogus Charge! We had two rooms, so that was $270 pissed away for something we didn't want.

Highly recommend

We booked and stayed in a lovely, very spacious suite, which was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the club lounge and the selections offered each day. The staff was friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. We would definitely recommend this hotel over the Park Hyatt.

Great stay at GH DC

This is the second time we stayed here, first after the renovation (at least for the room and floor that we stayed at). We absolutely think they have done a nice job with the renovation. Check-in and Location Check in was easy. The front desk staff was professional, nothing to rave about, but it was a simple check in. We reserved 2 double beds, so we would prefer to stay that way and we knew 12th floor is the club access lounge room. We didn't want to be upgraded to suite since all suites only have king size bed. We valet our car and that was easy process too. Location was fantastic, part of the reason we chose this hotel on this trip. It was close to National Portrait Gallery and DC Holiday Market. It is close to DC Chinatown too. And metro stop is right next door. Room The renovated room was nice and clean. Definitely better than before. It was a comfortable stay. We all had a good rest. Lounge As globalist, we have access to the club lounge. It is a decent club lounge. We enjoyed the food there. It could get quite crowded. My disappointment is more with seeing guests wasting so much foods. I have seen so many foods got thrown away and we also saw on room with plates outside their room with wasted foods and several bottles of juice (cranberry and orange) with so many leftover. But the club lounge staffs are fantastic overall. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel

We were in the suite and the room was great. Ample floor space and a lot of table space. However, it would have been nice if the bathroom wasn't in the master bedroom as we were a family of four with 2 teens. Also, the sink was located outside the bathroom. These weren't too troublesome though. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful. Our room was overlooking the atrium + lobby area. It was a nice view. There was a nespresso in the room but with espresso pods. Bring your own nespresso vertuo pods if you want.

Great place to stay with family

Excellent overall experience. From check-in to room service and everything in between, staff was extremely helpful, courteous and professional. They catered to our needs and were always very responsive. The only thing I would request to be considered is placing some plates and cups/glasses in the room
