I like this property - it's clean, staff are friendly and courteous. In general I would recommend. However, I had to unexpectedly extend my stay when flight was cancelled. I returned to hotel and Angely, front desk INTERN was not properly supervised and was rude and discourteous. She did not welcome me and appeared to not know how to make a reservation. After waiting more than 6 minutes while attempting to check me in, I became impatient and asked her how much longer would she need to complete the reservation - she responded the "I don't have to answer that question". By most hospitality standards that conduct would be rude. Ultimately, a more skilled colleague had to come and helped Angely complete the reservation. While the colleague apologized for how I was treated, Angely just stood there and as I walked away she was talking to explain why her actions were right. This experience is an aberration but if management of Hyatt leaves an ill or untrained intern to service guest then the public should know that this is a possible scenario when they spend their resources in exchange for hospitality.

We were in town visiting friends and also aimed to explore the National Museum of African American History ( .08 miles from hotel - we walked). The Grand Hyatt's staff were all professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The rooms were clean & recently renovated. We took the Metro's blue line (direct; no transfers) from Ronald Reagan Airport to Metro Center. Following the exit to 11th Street and after passing through the metro's turnstile, we entered the hotel via the glass doors on the left, avoiding outside elements. Shaheen, head of security at the Hyatt, was exceptionally kind and was available to address any concerns with great care . He even provided his mobile number and shared details about the hotel's security measures, which alleviated any potential worries. We enjoyed a beautiful weekend getaway!

Fantastic conference experience at the Grand Hyatt. Lovely accommodations, excellent conference facilities, and efficient, pleasant staff in both the hotel/conference center and Cure restaurant. I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt.

I was in town for business and had a great stay at the Grand Hyatt. Everything was beautiful and the staff is the best in the beltway. I used the dry cleaning for the first time and had same day service for the same price I pay at home. I will definitely be back the next time I am in DC.
