Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill

We found the hotel to be clean, friendly, quiet, and a good location for a family visit to the National Mall area. The pice for the room was very accessible for our family and we enjoyed the clean, well stocked pool area. We found other options for parking and dining that we're more affordable, however, these were only slight inconveniences given the price, cleanliness, pool, and location. We would stay again and will recommend it to others.

After driving all day from North Carolina I expected to wind down at the bar and enjoy a cocktail. I am of age and have a valid drivers license yet I was denied service because my card wasn’t “horizontal facing” I had to walk to completely different bar wheee they then served me without issue. They are snobby and enforce this weird policy to keep the clientele that they want Wich is down right rude. They even lied and set it was a new law and when I looked it up and proved it wasn’t they said “well my manager told me to say that” 🤡

Hotel was great but the check in lady (I forgot her name) and check out crew were beyond great. The day crew between my stay wasn't so good but then again it's can't expect perfection. When I arrived the valet just kinda looked at me as if I was in the wrong place until I checked in and then couldn't find my car for a good while during check out. They needed a little better coordination because I wasn't the only problem they were having. But don't let that take away from the beauty of the hotel and how close it was to the capitol and national park and museums!

The people are exceptional, the hotel is beautiful and is within walking distance of the Capital. I will definitely stay there again. Whether you're coming for business or pleasure, this is the pla e to come to. It is also close to many social places, including bars and restaurants.

The rooms and bathrooms. are small and we were unable to decrease heat so called an offered a fan. Apparently a known issue. Parking also very expensive. Breakfast and restaurant service was good however. Parking expensive at $57 and valet only.
