Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill

The service was very good. The room was cozy and perfect while i was attending a medical congress at the convention center. Beautiful walk each day and a short walk to the Capitol Building. The entire Staff was very attentive and courteous from check-in to check-out.

My wife and I spent one night in the Hyatt on Capitol Hill. We had a very nice stay. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We had no concerns with the hotel. We arrrived mid morning on the same day the Republican members of the House of Representatives were meeting at the hotel. There was a lot of security and press in the lobby and outside of the hotel. The parking valet quickly greeted us and directed us to the hotel reception. The check in process was very efficient. The hotel location is convenient to many of the museums and other tourist sites. Only negative, is the additional Destination Fee. This fee is disclosed in advance. It is a bit insulting that it is described as a fee to provide additional services such as printing boarding passes (really??). but is just an additional fee for the hotel. The Destination Fee was a minor annoyance but overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would stay here again.

Lovely large hotel, the decor is a little tired but the rooms are clean nonetheless. Staff extremely helpful. Food from the restaurant is very nice and the average price for a tourist destination. Most of the sightseeing spots, memorials, National Mall, Capital Hill etc within approx 30mins walking distance.

Be aware of the bed. If you lay down for a minute you will fall asleep! So comfy! Customer service was amazing. Everyone was so nice and respectful! So many great things to do within walking distance or on a scooter. Great location! Will stay here again.

The location is excellent (can walk to Union Station, the Capitol and many other sights). The Hop on Hop off trolley stops right in front of the hotel, which was very helpful. Was not impressed with the breakfast room buffet, which was $28 per person. Hotel room was large and very comfortable.
