This hotel is absolute perfection. Perfect location, staff, rooms etc. Check in was a breeze. Room was ready when we arrived. The staff when we are coming in or leaving always acknowledged us with a hello, have a great day and welcome back when we return. We stayed in a one bedroom which was large and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was big and water pressure in shower was amazing. There was a small terrace with our room which was lovely to sit outside and have coffee. This will be our hotel go to in DC anytime we return. Thank you Jefferson Hotel Staff for a wonderful experience!

A beautiful hotel, with great service. My room was very comfortable and quiet. I ate at Quill and from room service, and had breakfast — all excellent. I especially appreciated having tea first thing in the morning in the book room. The only thing I would change is the music played in the lobby/greenhouse area in the morning; it’s too raucous for my taste. I would prefer quiet classical or jazz piano, but even better would be no music at all.

Understated luxury and comfort. Attentive service, excellent restaurant and one of the worlds best bars. Power showers to die for. Probably the best wine list on the east coast. Good aircon, just right mattresses and a central location that serves business travellers and tourists equally well. Despite some new and jazzier 5 star alternatives on M Street this is still the place to stay in DC. Front desk staff seem genuinely pleased to see you .

Five star luxury from the moment I met the doorman, to the high octane energy of the receptionist who checked me in and every single member of staff who served me through my weekend stay! Opulent and luxurious bedroom with a marble floor bathroom. I can’t say enough about how great my stay was! Definitely coming back!

Ask for anything that would make your stay comfortable. On our first night the bar was lively and we told our server we had trouble hearing each other. He responded with “oh, give me a moment” and we were soon whisked to a Cabinet adjacent to the Quill Bar. Quiet, private, comfortable and excellent service fora wonderful start. We needed distilled water and it was delivered quickly and enough for the whole stay. After meeting each employee we were remembered and pampered from breakfast to bedtime and we enjoyed that personal touch. The Concierge made recommendations and reservations and stayed available by text all day. The doormen were charming and helpful, as everyone was. And finally, Jefferson ice tea! Delicious!
