Immerse yourself in the rich history of our capital city by staying at the Morrison-Clark Historic Inn and Restaurant. Built during the civil war as two separate mansions, the Morrison-Clark homes typify the elegant charm of historic Washington DC. Lovingly restored, the homes retain their lofty, medallioned ceilings, Italian Carrera decorative-marble fireplaces, and exquisite, red-tiled Shanghai roofs. Steeped in tradition, but with all of the comforts of modern day amenities, a stay at the Morrison-Clark Historic Inn is a chance to experience the warmth of the past without surrendering the comforts of the present.

I stayed here on a short break from the UK, its a nice hotel, bed was very comfortable, slept well every night. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Most of Washington's sights are close by. The food in the restaurant wasnt bad either. Would stay here again if in Washington.

This is a hidden gem in a great location. Walking distance to White House and other areas. Its history is charming. Lovely rooms with Hanson design and furniture. The inner courtyard is a nice place to socialize. Highly recommend for any occasion. So glad I discovered it

Sibling trip, 2 sisters and our brother. Hotel: super clean, historic, beautiful, great location. Food: great breakfast 2 mornings in a row. The bar: excellent lemon drops by Nela! The staff: AMAZING! Front desk- Abdul made sure our rooms were perfect. The maintenance man even loaned our brother his charger when the charging station in his room did not work! Literally everyone from valet to those that helped with our bags was absolutely amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We will be back and we are staying here!

Didn’t live up to the reviews for me. Location is handy, beds are indeed comfortable (maybe too soft for some), and things were clean. On the flip side there is no driveway or area to park your car should you be driving - not even a reserved spot right out the front. Hotel parking wasn’t available for our stay either. There was no shower gel or shower soap provided despite requesting for it after the first night. Rooms were loud with anyone having a conversation easily heard in the room (and a number of people were doing so). I wouldn’t stay here again.

This is a splendid historic/boutique inn at a very good location. We were able to walk easily to subway and bus stops as we explored the city. The neighborhood was safe and clean, away from heavy foot traffic. You are welcomed at the door with a friendly smile, and everyone working in the lobby - the doormen, the front desk, the bartenders - are all very welcoming and make you feel comfortable. The lobby is well designed with the Chinese motif here and there, and there's a large and beautiful courtyard adjoining. We were able to keep our luggage in the storeroom since we arrived early. It was an extremely hot weekend in DC and we were offered ice cold water immediately and they kept a supply for us in the room. The room had a nice desk and a refrigerator in the wardrobe, as well as a very comfortable bed and nice linens. Our room was a good size with a double bed, very clean. We appreciated the always-available cold water with fruit in the lobby as well as coffee and tea set up in the mornings. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if visiting.
