We booked an anniversary trip to one of the most beautiful hotels in DC! We were greeted with a big smile by Eskedar, who was very welcoming and friendly. She told us a little bit about the hotel and even interesting details about some of the other Salamander properties. This has been a very memorable experience so far and we hope to return soon.

Front desk and bell men were great. Had access to bikes which was great for getting around. 79$ a day for parking was ridiculous so parked around block for 25/day. Room was very comfortable except the chairs. The housekeepers don't read or understand English when left a note for more creamer and left a tip, never got it. Watch bill in restaurant, one day got tip included and second didn't for just 2 people.

Charles and Gomal who assisted me at concierge check in were very professional and it was evident the staff values their guests experience. Genuinely pleasant and will make sure you have any information/assistance needed for an enjoyable stay, The hotel is kept in immaculate condition and the amenities are beautiful. This hotel is significantly better than your average stay.

This was a quick Christmas weekend trip from New York City to visit The White House. The arrival experience at the Salamander was flawless. There were several doorman throughout our visit who were always interacting with the guests. We felt very welcome the moment we stepped through the door! We arrived late Saturday morning and we were welcomed by Zachary at the Front Desk who was highly engaged and helpful. Our room was not ready so we checked our bag and enjoyed a signature cocktail at the lobby bar. Shortly thereafter, we had the pleasure of being greeted by Jennifer, the Chef Concierge who told us our room was ready. And what a gorgeous, luxuriously appointed room it was...with a stunning view of the Harbor area! Jennifer assisted us with dinner reservations at Shoto and also booked a spa appointment for us. Wonderful service! The newly renovated spa was beautiful. There is an indoor swimming pool, steam, sauna, whirlpool plunge and relaxation room. Everyone I met was highly engaged providing personalized service. I booked a 90 minute massage with Dwayne who was amazing! It was a great massage and I left feeling so relaxed that I went back to my gorgeous room and took a nice nap! Dinner at Shoto was fabulous! The following morning we were off toThe White House (the reason for our trip!) for a tour of the holiday decor arranged by the hotel General Manager. We even met Santa in the hotel Lobby as he greeted children for breakfast. it was a lovely experience for the holiday. this was was a very short trip, and I wish we could have spent more time in the comfy bed in our luxurious room. The shower in the room was the best ever and the bath amenities were beautiful. And those robes! Luxurious! We'll be back soon! Thank you for making this holiday trip one to cherish and remember!

Not up to the standards of our stay at previously booked luxury link hotels. No in room coffee bar, no mini bar, blamed everything on Covid, and they were a new hotel, we would not stay there again. Definitely not 5 star, location good, no ice maker you had to call for it.
