Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square

I had a lovely stay while on a business trip. The staff and amenities are top-notch and I enjoyed the First Lady theme of the hotel.

This is not a luxury hotel. The lobby is nice and the front desk staff were great. The front desk staff told us we were upgraded to a room with a view. We were excited to see the view, and it turned out that the view was the building across the street. There was trash in parts of the room. The room was dark and there is a light switch when you walk in but its for the closet area (which doesn't make sense, the closet is around the corner). I thought the AC was going or the windows were drafty because there was cold air blowing on me and we couldn't control the temperature on the thermostat. The room and the building in general needs a lot of sprucing up.

Charming, boutique, French, amazing staff, great room, luxury sheets, great morning coffee… the best! Lyndzie makes you feel so welcome upon arrival! Ian too! Thanks to all the great staff!

Great experience from check-in to check-out. All staff were courteous and polite and very helpful. My room was cleanly and very comfortable. The location in downtown D.C. is perfect, it is centrally located and within walking distance to all major attractions. Overall just a great hotel to stay at during your visit to D.C.
