Pendry Washington DC - The Wharf

What can I say…. What a night at the Wharf. Me and my partner had a not so pleasant evening at a restaurant and for lack of better words got semi stranded due to no Ubers being able to get to the wharf due to road closures and protests. Go figure right. After try after try and with the Ubers canceling left and right I needed to figure out a different plan. I looked up and saw the Pendry hotel and figured maybe we can go in there and see if the front desk can call us a taxi. With me working in hotels myself I do this often for guest or people in general so I figured it couldn’t be any harm in asking. Once we walked in we were warmly greeted by Jirae. She was so sweet and welcoming. I explained to her our dilemma and asked if she could help with calling a taxi. She explained the process and let us know the wait time. Not only did she call a taxi she also told us we could wait inside. So accommodating. Maybe 15 minutes went by and Jirae came over apologizing stating the taxi drivers were having the same issues. I begin to worry because how were we going to get home. What else could go wrong at this point. Jirae must have saw my worry because she was quick on her toes with another idea. She spoke to my partner and a couple minutes later she was allowing us to use the complimentary car service to get home. Brooks Dunning was the driver and he was equally accommodating and friendly. My partner didn’t live too far from the hotel so it wasn’t a long ride but it was a pleasant one. Me being a manager at a local hotel was throughly impressed and in awe of the service they provided and we weren’t even guest of the hotel. You can’t train or teach the kindness these two displayed tonight, that is instilled in them. They turned my night around in an instant and I’m truly appreciative and grateful. I will be staying at this location for my staycation coming soon due to these two individuals. Pendry you are very lucky to have them just like we were very lucky to have met them tonight!

Wonderful hotel on the Wharf. I’ve stayed at the intercontinental around the corner a couple of times and always left frustrated. The Pendry was a wonderful upgrade and a true 5 star experience. The staff is just the right size and the hospitality is phenomenal. The restaurant is popular with a great view but as a hotel guest they’ll make your reservation happen.

Overall nice experience. Some minor issues but still will go back. Beautiful location and facility. Beds are extremely comfortable and shower was awesome. The rooftop and dinner food was great but breakfast was mediocre. The restaurant staff was awesome and Jevonnie was extremely kind and accommodating. Thanks

The Pendry is an amazing place to stay. It is perfectly located and within walking distance from most of the Washington DC sites. The staff at Pendry are top shelf and offer exceptional service in all aspects. I cannot wait to return to the Pendry on my next visit to DC.

I highly recommend the spa ! The staff is great and the place is nice. I enjoyed every moment I spent there. I am not exaggerating when I say that I got the best massage EVER thanks to Wallace! I will definitely go back and next time I do, I will take advantage of the beautiful pool they have.
