The Royal Sonesta Washington DC, Dupont Circle

After a 3-night stay, this would be my opinion of the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. After seeing me a few times they were able to identify me by name without even having to say my room number to check. I was really surprised by that level of service. As for the room, I had a Executive Studio room and it was spacious and clean but didn't really any view. Not an issue for me since I was going in and out of the room for business. The housekeeping staff cleaned my room everyday without needing to ask which is nice. Happy to see this hotel is back to pre-covid level of housekeeping. They made the bed, took out the trash, and replaced the towels and coffee station. The gym is on the 2nd floor and is usually not busy. Only one time when I went in the morning did I find another person using the gym. There are cold waters in a fridge and towels. I wasn't able to go to the on-site restaurant since my company was taking me out everyday but I will look into it the next time I come. This hotel will most likely be my hotel choice moving forward in DC.

The Royal Sonesta in Dupont is a nice location. I have been to other Royal branded hotels and each feel very different. This one is probably the coziest I have been at. The other one in DC is new but very cookie cutter. This hotel has a lot more character and the staff are conversational which makes it even nicer. The rooms are clean and water is hot! It is a nice location and I will probably choose this one over the other at Capitol Hill.

I recently spent 5 nights at Royal Sonesta in Dupont Circle. It was my first time staying at this hotel but it will now definitely be my hotel of choice when next I am visiting DC! The hotel itself is well appointed and very comfortable but the big draw is the location. It is sooo centrally located ... everything literally on your doorstep from the Dupont Circle metro to a variety of eating options, pharmacies, shops etc. I booked the hotel through the AAdvantage hotel site so that meant I also got the benefit of extra AA miles for my stay. The staff was also very friendly and efficient. Overall I have nothing but good things to say about my stay and look forward to returning for my next visit :-)

Everything about this hotel is nice and elevated. The service is well above average the rooms are 2x larger than most rooms in DC. My wife and I were kind of bummed that the pool was closed but we were warned that is was seasonal on the confirmation so can't be too upset about that. The staff were apologetic and gave me recommendations for open pools in the area which was nice and considerate.

Working with Tunde has been a truly pleasant and enriching experience. He has consistently demonstrated high efficiency and responsiveness.
