Fantastic day at Ocean House
I visited the hotel for the first time to determine if I'd stay in the spring. My husband and I had a fantastic breakfast (perfectly made omelettes with delicious ingredients, and fabulous coffee). We had a table with a gorgeous view of the ocean; and a very nice and attentive server named Mary (who definitely contributed to a lovely brunch experience). We then met with Robin, the concierge, who very comprehensively & pleasantly outlined the hotel's services at various times of the year. Since our daughter lives nearby (& we don't) we definitely plan on visiting the hotel again (possibly for a few days; minimally for a spa day or special event). I highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.

Dinner at The Bistro-Wow
One of our best meals in Newport—and most memorable view overlooking the ocean. Lobster pappardelle and Italian sausage ragout were so memorable. Server Cosmin did an outstanding job. If you like an extensive (expensive) wine list, this is the place to go in southwestern RI. But fear not, they have a sommelier who will guide you with your choice!

If you’re staying at The Ocean House, you absolutely can’t miss a sunset cruise on The Dandy. From start to finish, the experience is nothing short of spectacular. Captain Todd, the heart and soul of this voyage, brings a remarkable depth of knowledge and an infectious passion for the local history. His storytelling transforms the boat ride into an engaging and educational journey, weaving historical tidbits with personal anecdotes that make the experience both memorable and meaningful. Wonderful oasis!
Had a beautiful stay here last week, a trip I wish could have lasted forever! Went with my mom for a weekend get away for a few days and this was the most wonderful hotel. Everything about this trip was five stars from the service, the rooms, the property, the food. We just couldn't get enough and we will definitely be back! Each of the restaurants on the property that we tried (Coast, Bistro, Veranda, Thea) were amazing and the service was excellent. The concierge was also amazing and provided great advice and guidance to make this trip special. The staff on the beach was also amazing; I've been all over the world and this is the best service I've ever had on the beach and the food was amazing there too and would come out quickly. I've never left a public review before, but I had such a wonderful stay I wanted to share my experience. I will definitely be back!

Very welcoming place...rooms are very small and need some updating...extra lighting would be helpful....decks in dire need of 'teak' ; Gutter pipe on deck was disgustingly peeling and probably due to overpainting and not maintained properly..Liked the Veranda and Bistro restaurants....flowers were wilted on most of the tables.....Staff good.The "Coast" dining experience was horrible...sooooo pretentious...note: all is Pre Fixe..so even if you don't like something you Can't substitute..although kitchen is 3 ft. away...Fantastic massage at the Spa....not sure why they only have 1 female "bellperson" in the AM, while 5 males stand on the porch doing nothing...(they receive cars when they come in) Cleaning staff was marvelous...all in all would probably go for lunch but not stay over....Sounds picky...But for a Relais and Chateaux hotel...this one needs some work.....
