Cape Lodge

Stayed at Cape Lodge after 6 days in an AirB&B. Beautiful grounds and location. Booked a Lakeside Suite on first floor however found stairs difficult with my wonky knee. Large well furnished suite with great bed. Booked through Luxury Escapes so had a number of freebies include afternoon tea and wine tasting. Breakfast excellent. Dinner perfect but not cheap. Wouldn’t want to pay $250 every night. Although it’s a lovely hotel it could do with a makeover repaint etc. Staff wonderful.

The location was beautiful, and all the staff interactions were very pleasant. Our room was well appointed but showing its age, definitely needed a refresher. The hardscape was also in need of some TLC. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and were happy with the service and ambiance. Food was okay.

My wife and I just returned from a 2 night weekend stay. It was the best all round weekend experience we have ever had. The grounds set in beautiful native forest surrounding a perfect lake are glorious, the buildings are perfectly maintained and clean. But the staff and the quality of the food offering were sublime: Ryan at reception was welcoming and obliging and made us feel at home from the first moment - our requests of him were met quickly and with grace; In the restaurant Dani (from Italy), Leah (from France) were experienced, knowledgable and passionate about the food and wine we were choosing from as was Faruz (Malaysian) - they were there when you needed something and invisible when you didn't; the chef team of Adam (English) and Abigail (Malaysian) produced amazing food - original, fresh, local and sophisticated - some of the best we have ever eaten. We even saw Adam tending the vegetable garden where some of the food is sourced. They all worked as a team. We cannot sing their praises any higher. Congratulations!

Sensational, tranquil setting. Beautifully appointed room! Sensational restaurant! The food and wine were terrific. The service for breakfast and dinner were simply superb! This is so handy to everything. First class luxury. Such a beautiful romantic spot!

We stayed at Cape Lodge for 2 nights in a Lake view suite for our 35th wedding anniversary and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Cape Lodge has been on our bucket list for many years and we were not disappointed. All the personalised touches, outstanding customer service from reception and restaurant staff made our stay feel so welcoming and special. Our well appointed and spacious room was extremely private over looking one of the lakes on the property which made for an extremely relaxing stay. The only suggestion we can make is for the Foxtel sport channels to be in HD as it wasn't as sharp as the awesome massive TV could show. The food at the restaurant was delicious, breakfast , high tea and dinner were top class and the restaurant is beautiful in its outlook and has a classy and intimate feeling inside. Cape Lodge is the perfect place for any special occasion getaway. We cant wait to go back and hope the next stay isn’t too far away.
