A 2 star hotel pretending to be 5 star. Don't believe the marketing.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Other than a location, there's nothing good about this hotel. It is priced same as Four Seasons or Stanley Ranch, those are real 5 star hotels, this is a 2 star pretending. The gym lol, a joke, shed on the roof. Breakfast, check out the tasty moldy fruit cup that's at least 3-4 days old. Service - Showed the concierge person the fruit, his response - let me get you another cup... um... another 4 day old one? no thanks. Went in Dec, it's slow season, there's a total of 5-6 cars there, why you force the stupid valet parking. Checking in, checking out, no invoice, no mention of surcharge of hotel tax despite the hotel was prepaid. Just a charge on the card, didn't say anything until calling them after to find out what the charge is for. Hardware in room is pathetic. Shower has tiny flowing water. Toilet is leaking. Lights - all manual on / off, no shut all or open all. Patio is this tiny enclosed space with wooden planks blocking any and all view. If it was a 2 star for $300, sure, it's reasonable. When it's $1000+ rated as 5 stars, that's a joke.

Relaxing Weekend

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

We had a lovely long weekend at Bardessono Resort and Spa. The grounds are beautiful, our room was fantastic, the entire staff was kind and helpful. We enjoyed the restaurant and spa. It was a quiet and relaxing stay surrounded by luxury which could not have been better.

Grounds are beautiful and location perfect yet found service inconsistent and room disappointing. The room was a great size yet hasn’t been updated in some time. There were no drawers for your things - and cabinetry old and scratched. when you stay for 4 nights it would be nice to have them put away as opposed to in piles in a closet where they put hard to reach or see black shelving on the sides. The gym is a small box on the pool roof. It has great equipment but it’s in the size of a closet. They need a better gym. Period. Not acceptable for a hotel of this type. We were told there was no affiliate gym near. Breakfast is a little disappointing. Service great though it was 20 minutes to get a table for breakfast which seems unfortunate when you’re staying there. Coffee in the room delicious. The valets are incredible.

Lovely Hotel

This is our second time staying at this hotel. The rooms and grounds are beautiful. I don't know what they have done differently, but the customer service is now absolutely outstanding! Every person we encountered on staff at Bardessono could not do enough for us. Bravo to everyone! I have 2 recommendations. The pool water is not warm enough and the workout area is too small and in an inconvenient location by the pool.

Great place to stay in Napa!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

Great place to stay in the heart of Napa Valley! Our room was recently refreshed and beautiful. Service was excellent. My spouse and I prefer white wines and the concierge was so helpful in guiding us to local wineries to suit our needs. The hotel restaurant was great and we especially enjoyed the service there. I was especially grateful that the restaurant staff remembered my distinct dietary needs at each visit. Will definitely stay here again!
